And very deservedly so. Apart from that one lunge, Ogura had the speed and took absolutely minimum risks. Best of both worlds.Great ride by Ogura. New championship leader.
Ogura takes it, as I predicted!
Proper masterclass there from #79, taking the lead of the championship in the process.
Canet probably holds a world record for the most number of 2nd place finishes.
Arbolino slowly getting his confidence back, he’ll be back to winning ways soon.
Gutted for Vietti, he definitely had race winning pace.
Very cerebral ride by Dixon. He caught Aldeguer in the end as well; the latter most likely is giving Ducati some buyer’s remorse, I’m sure.
Good damage limitation by Garcia. He did ride like he’s getting his mojo back. Hope he’ll be back to his usual form next time around. Camera shows him crying in the garage which was a hard watch.
All in all, not a very eventful race although it did have its moments.
The only defense for him is that he’s decidedly bigger and heavier than his competition in Moto2; which won’t be a big factor in MotoGP.I am becoming less and less impressed with Aldeguer each race. I mean don't get me wrong, he could turn out to be a decent GP rider, but he's not really doing a good job of justifying this signing. I'm still not seeing the attraction to him.
He probably should retire in a Polynesian island where he’ll just be the average bob down the road.I just have to say, that while it's probably a shallow thing to have an opinion on, but I hate Canet's tattoos. They look stupid as ...., and going all the way up your neck is absolutely moronic. I can't take people seriously who do stuff like this and I generally do not mind tattoos. I'm half expecting him to show up at a GP weekend with his face entirely tattooed.
Random thought : I absolutely love the Japanese national anthem. We don’t hear enough of it.
I doubt that will matter much. I don't see the Moto3 championship coming down to one point.Alonso demoted a place for track limits.

On to the big one, then.
Expecting Bagnaia to make amends for yesterday. Martin, though leading the championship , is still the underdog; his teammate probably has stronger loyalty to Ducati and VR46 and as such won’t be of much help, IMO.
Is there something in the water over at Repsol Honda?
Now Marini withdraws as well due to illness.
Oddsmakers had the championship heading into the weekend at a 21/20 for Pecco. But that is pretty much a 50-50. A Martin victory in the GP might break Ducati.
I think it happened some time last year if I’m not mistaken. When is the last time Honda did not have both factory bikes starting a GP?
I have absolutely no idea.
