Here we go another action packed weekend at the beautiful and scenic Red Bull Ring.

I predict...GP24 fest at the front. I will go with Pecco for the race win. Sprint to me is up in the air.

I also predict that there will be three Ducatis on the podium, but I think there's a fair chance that there will be a GP23 there. My reasoning being that one of Bagnaia or Martin might fall, and Morbidelli may or may not best fast enough for the podium. Somehow my gut feeling isn't including Bastianini in the potential fallers.

Of course, now that I've made this prediction, the exact opposite will happen. The podium will be all Aprilia and KTM, and Bastianini will be the only GP24 rider who falls.

I'll go ahead and predict 8 Ducatis in the Top 9. One of Acosta, Brad or Aleix are gonna be the outlier.

In dry conditions will win gp24. If it rains, maybe Marc can win but I'm not sure about Ducati lockout.

Haven't posted here few months and I must say that, I'm pleased that Marc is getting gp25 next year, painted red no less.

I'm re-watching 2023 season, almost finished, two races to go. Seeing how good GP22 looks against GP23 I think if Marc had his switch to Gresini a year earlier he could have won the title last year. No kidding.

Watched a bit of the first practice.
I’ve never seen a Ducati turn like Martin’s GP24 did in this session.

As much as I hate aero, it does what chassis engineering can’t.

Looks a bit like a crocodile snout. Is that Miller's bike?

EDIT: Wikipedia says that David Alonso is only 18. Surely he can't be 18 given his extensive experience in racing, including this being his fourth year in Moto3. Surely something is wrong here. EDIT: Oh, he only had one race each year for the first two years. So, this is his second full year in Moto3. Less surprising age-wise, but still mega-impressive. I think his progression in Moto3 perhaps looks even more impressive than Marquez in 125s. Though, Marquez was even younger.

EDIT: Daniel Holgardo moving up to Moto2 next year. Team doesn't seem to have been announced.

You're ...... when you get an Aero stall though.

I had a 250cc superkart that had full aero. What was scary about it was it had a 'danger zone' where you exceeded mechanical grip but were not yet into the realms of aero grip. So you had to go through a corner slow enough to not exceed the mechanical grip, or pin it and hope the aero would hold you. Sometimes you got a random stall and it was scary as hell. One time going through an almost flat left hander, the front just washed out on me like I hit ice.

Sometimes when a rider has a move to the next level sealed already, they start taking things easier. Ogura does not look at all like he's holding back or taking it easier. Yes, I know it's only practice.
