2022 Phillip Island - Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix

Yes but: Fabs’ input is going to be the only one that counts.

Franco: forget it pal, time to find another job. Maybe your good buddy vr can find you one.

Yeah I know you’ve got a contract for next year. Yeah I know you got hurt. Too bad for the rest of us. You should do the right thing and bow out now to let Yamaha find somebody who will actually ride the bike.

Gonna be like Marquez at Honda, Fabio the new Lone Ranger.

Thats the issue though. Yamaha are now the 2017-2021 Honda. Only one rider can be competitive and if that rider leaves or gets injured where are Yamaha?

Compare that to Ducati. Everyone moans about their dominance but they recognise the value of more rider feedback. It's no coincidence their bike is the best and they have 5 GP22's out there compared to 2 2022 M1's.

Too late. Even if they see out his contract, NO ONE is available for 2024. I suggested earlier this yr that they should pre-emptively can him and grab Rins, Mir, Oliveira or eny other race winner but that ship has sailed. They'll have to get a rookie to replace Franco in 2024.
