Go and watch Q2 at Catalunya. Do you or do you not see Marc following Rossi?

I suppose for those who wear the yellow tinted fan goggles, every time Marc is about to pass Rossi like he's standing still, the perception is that "Marc is following Rossi". Do those goggles also make it appear after the race that Rossi is on top of the podium and Marquez is sitting in his camper?

I'm sure you don't own a pair of yellow tinted googles, so tell me what you saw during Q2 at Silverstone? Was that not Marquez waiting around for a tow? Or was that just a hologram for yellow tinted google viewers?

Agree. The event was a non-event. I just find it sociologically compelling, the way people cling to illusions to support unsupportable narratives; like Rossi selling the idea that MM is out to steal his race craft secrets. I mean ...., if Marquez wanted to get a tow, why wouldn't he get one from Quatarro or Rins? You know . . . the fast riders.

Agree, the media love blowing anything to do with Marc or Vale well up and out of proportion. The contrast of underlying tones between the Repsol and Yamaha press interviews afterwards, complete with loaded questions about 'penalties' really made me laugh.

BTM Kesh, check your PM Box before you give me an inferiority complex. :p

I am in the US and didn’t see this “incident”, which by most accounts doesn’t seem to have been an attempt at a tow, but I have definitely seen MM seek a tow from Rossi earlier this year, probably at Silverstone as you say..

They don’t like each other much and each likes needling the other. I actually don’t have much problem with Rossi’s general comportment this year, and don’t mind if he still has some vinegar in him.

Might even be partly MM’s fault, but I don’t think the current Honda is all that great a bike. Easily good enough if you can ride it as MM does, and with advantages compared to last year’s bike, but I think the difficulty of riding it as he does should not be underestimated. Meanwhile the Yamaha seems pretty good, so it can hardly be claimed by me or anyone else that the bike is being developed for Rossi to the disadvantage of other Yamaha riders..

Time to reign in qualifying antics. Start handing out grid penalties to anyone who slows up or otherwise ..... about.

Even MM himself has spoken about the benefit of a tow and how it has to be done in a perfect way to maximise on it and those comments were after taking a pole position. Many of the riders do it and Marquez isn't an exception. So what if he takes a tow and from Rossi or whoever??????

Conditions are hot today, with grip levels lower than previously this weekend. I'm thinking a shoot out between Quartarao and Rins. I also want to say Vinales is in it, but he rarely shows pace at the start to count at the end.

Rins
Quartararo
Marquez
Vinales
Rossi

It's not savage, penalizing someone that isn't in the run for the championship doesn't have much of an affect on them. It would only matter if they were close in championship points.

"Not contender for the championship" is what you bolded as savage. I don't see how that's a savage comment, it's just the truth. At this stage of the season, there isn't anyone else in contention for the championship. Even Vinales just said "I have nothing to lose and everything to win". Everyone is so far behind in points, .... doesn't matter at this point.

After yesterday I figure I'd just go for the WIN!!!!!!!

Now that was SAVAGE!!:D

I'd love to have seen Quartararo win his first race, he definitely put in the effort and missed out only by 5/8ths of .... all, he pretty much embarrassed the other Yamaha's in the process.

But the race was very dull up until the last lap battle and Marc's superhuman performance really rubbed salt into Rossi's still unhealed wounds, salt extracted from the gallons of tears cried by the yellow Misano fans, making the win all the sweeter.

Pretty awesome rides by both of them!!

Post race conference was another classic line. On the mic you loose the battle, but on the track you win.

Even more to the point.
