WSBK Round # 9 Brno

I saw Simon Buckmaster (Parkalgar team manager) saying that his team and Ten Kate are using some new electronics that the rest of the grid can't afford, back at Miller. He did think the rest of the grid would eventually upgrade though. They could probably limit what electronics packages the teams could use if they wanted to cut costs further.

That said, these engines rev to something like 17,000 rpm, which is fantastic but pointless. A 15/16,000 rev limit would save a few engines I reckon.

Might not need to rev limit if they rev that high. If you spec and ECU to get rid of traction control and other expensive systems, they might turn the revs down and soften the power to make sure people can finish.

I have a curious question. Does anybody know if the TV ratings have been effected at all by not having a competitive American (I know its the .... bike) in WSBK? There was more of a buzz with Spies, with his departure, did it measurably change the ratings?

I still watch every race, but the excitement level for me this year is nowhere near what it was last year . But, i would guess the level of excitement is up in Italy and the UK.
