Ok. That was weird. Not one who was gonna stop watching, but these processes HAVE to be more opaque.

Most interesting thing to come out of this thing is that the championship race is super tight now. Only 3 points separating Pecco and Jorge.

Binder…. I boosted him in my fantasy team this week and thought I made the best decision yesterday. Obviously fate had something else in store 😢

Miller was moving up after a mistake put him back in 10th, as the weather worsened Miller rode even better, same with M Maquez. If the race had continued I'd expected M Marquez to win and Miller on the podium but it was good that it was red flagged as it was getting dangerous.

Martin has scored more points than Bagnaia in the last 4 rounds;
Cat +12
RSM + 14
Ind + 23
Jpn + 10
Unlike last year where Bagnaia was riding good while Quatararo was riding badly, this year Bagnaia is riding good its just that Martin is riding even better

M Marquez's 19 points this weekend matched the sum of his points from the first 10 events

Giannantonio had his best result of the season, still not enough to save his ride if M Marquez doesn't get it

Well . . . I did say I had a feeling today wouldn't be a replay of Saturday, but not like this. Bummed to see Binder out. MM showing where talent is more important than tech. I was supposed to go to this round but recuperation from surgery kept me home and given the weather, that was a blessing. If there has to be a rain race, Motegi is where you want to see it (while comfortably ensconced in a Barcalounger with early morning tea and toast). There were more daring passes in half a race, than we've seen all season.

Just watched it. At least it was interesting, if not ideal conditions. We need more rain these last few rounds to keep the spice level above flat line.

Great camerawork in the Moto2 race. They actually showed the battles in the field instead of the leaders running two seconds apart all the time.
Happy for the Honda Asia guys. Fascinating how Somkiat is unbeatable two times a year but in the upper mid-field during all the other races.
It was still a bit processional at the front but further down the field plenty of passing. They can still overtake without all that aero .....
Better to watch imo.

Jack went into the pits on the CF bike, and came out on the steel bike with no rear grip.
If the conditions for restart had been better, Jack would have been on the CF bike for the win.

Well, after the red flag, it's a restart, so why would he not revert to his original CF bike.
I'm not sure if there is a rule allowing that or not. Its the, for the win part that had me thinking you are somking the dankest hippie lettuce on earth.

He was a chance for second imo in the wet. MM was likely to win again imo but he seemed happy for the race to be red flagged so either he thought 3rd was a good result for him or it was too dangerous to continue even for him.

Unless he wins several races I can’t see much else except Jack being replaced by Acosta next season by whatever means necessary although Acosta might be better off on a Ducati as per your post on the other thread. I don’t see that a history with KTM garners a rider much in the way of loyalty from KTM, but if Acosta’s talent is as it appears he should shine on any European bike. Honda at least and possibly Yamaha might be a risk even for him though.

I've heard that the KTM's run less aero than Ducati so to match the speed down the longer straights and this means that they are slower at exiting the corner. If this is correct then does the KTM work better at a point and squirt track? which I've heard this one is

I agree with the first bit, but not the second. If you watched the Sprint Race you see Pecco trying for 5 laps trying to pass Jack. He would catch him down the straight, but Jack would out brake him into the corner, then the KTM just accelerated away from him, and he would have to try again.

So you can be sure that acceleration out of corners is what the bike has been built for.
