Who should and who should NOT get a ride in 2008

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Pinky @ Jul 29 2007, 02:28 AM) <div class='quotemain'>
My List
Those who should Get a ride in 2008

1. Ant West, not yet confirmed for 2008 but deserves a ride.

2. Ben Speis. deserves his chance and would bring more american interest <- can't decide if a good thing or not
<

Those who should NOT Get a ride in 2008

1. Loris Caparossi. Not on a factory ducati anyway. His time is up and prob should move onto a smaller team.

2. Carlos Checa, way underperforming compared to Stoner on the LCR last year. Needs to make way for the next new talent.
Keep it clean
<

funny how when casey was on the lcr honda it's a crap bike and poor casey but now where talking about checa on and lcr bike thats not even as good as last years bike you say he should go because HE is under performing, double standards going on here lately.
well i dont want to see any of them go,infact i want to see more riders and teams on the grid.

Ok Roge lets have a 40 rider fiels and the leading 6 bikes overlap the last 20 at least 3 times that will be really great!!!...and they will all be on the Michelins!!!...lol

Hahahahaha dude you give me a good laugh!

Thanks dude but... "How Can You Answer That “Son"???...you know I remember Barry Sheen in 1992 or about that time on the channel 9's coverage of the 500cc’s commenting about back markers and what a pain in the back side they were and how dangerous they were to GP racing...and he was adamant that the FIA should do something about these uncompetitive riders and teams!!! Well now that the FIA have done something about that problem we have guys like Roge suggesting to the contrary, put more teams and riders into motoGP irrespective of how competitive they are just put them in!!! You can’t win either way CAN YOU!!!

At no point did Roger say that people should ride irrespective of how competative they are, he just said that he would like to see new riders as an addition to the current field who are all very competative.

Its too soon for Alvaro, he needs more 250 experience for sure.

isnt he the reigning 125 world champion so hasnt he only just moved up...?

Hayden

As someone said in another thread it took him 4 years to get used to his old bike....can honda really wait til 2011? lol

Guintoli i think should have the chance of a better bike, i quite like him

Is it something personal you have against Nicky? Seems like you enjoy taking shots at him on here. Is it his accent? Did he kick your puppy or something?
<

Suggesting that the reigning world champ not be given a ride is just plain crazy. He is proving that he CAN learn the bike quickly, as we have recently seen him back up at the sharp end. I think people should be looking out for him at the beginning of next season!

Hayden out and Guintoli staying??
<
Guintoli is a turd who torpedoed Hoffman in a very amateurish fashion, and is getting beat by the likes of Tamada on the same bike.

I know the OT said to keep it clean, but I couldn't help myself with that one! Sorry!

Wow some of you are ....... idiots. Hayden won the ............. MotoGP champion. I do not care who the .... you are but if you can win the championship under any circumstances you should be in GPs the rest of your career. You know there were other riders with no problems in 2006 too like melandri or pedrosa. Luck has nothing to do with racing so all you fucktards should just keep to gambling if you think thats the case.

P.S Watch out for Melandri next year.....

If luck has nothing to do with racing, what causes another rider to cartwheel you into the braking area through no fault of your own?
.......the phase of the moon??
get your head out of your ..., numpty!

James Toseland is the one guy I say should be in Moto GP, given a top machine he would most definitely be up at the sharpe end.

I agree with you, BUT, I wonder if he did himself no favours by crashing on his first lap of the Suzuka 8 hour. Mr Honda would not have been very happy (especially with Suzuki winning it)!

At what point does the 2006 champion lose their status as champ in 2007 and become a former champion?

Is at the race where it become mathematically impossible for them to be considered in the running for the title (NH Brno)?

Or is it at race where your fans defend your title via a series of tourette episodes (NH Qatar)?

And regarding you should be in GPs the rest of your career; No one disagrees that is the case, but perhaps some thing that career should end much sooner rather than later (like end next year).

<
why not fill the grid a bit more with more riders and more teams, it's not even a real battle to get 1 championship point this season, that's how many riders they have now

definatly in:
toseland
dovi
lorenzo
maybe sofuoglu??

not sure about rea

Time to go!

- Barros - WSBK is calling you
- Checa - luckiest man in GPs, but more young spaniards are on the way!
- Capirossi - Retire with dignity, please
- Roberts - Kurtis, KRJR, and King Kenny, just cause!
- Tamada - Not as good as the tires he was on, back to Japan SBK
- Hayden - Will never win the title again, and 800s are not built for him go back to AMA or even on to WSBK cause Repsol will not be renewing your contract next season and you know it.
- Nakano - Other young japanese riders need a shot at it since you missed your shot!
- Edwards - Back to WSBK and retake the title then retire!

Time to move up!

- De Angelis - Its time and will do well
- H. Aoyama - Japan needs a new hero!!!
- Dovizioso - Will make in impact and beat Pedrobot
- Kallio - Another Stoner Dark Horse in the future
- Toseland - Now or never Lad!
- Davies - Proved he is as good as anyone of the above go'ers
- Spies - Prove to the world the AMA is not talentless series producing Haydens
- Kiyonari - BSB is good, but it aint GPs
- Rea - Now before he turn into a Walker, Rutter or Byrne.
