Considering the fact that Rossi has an 8 point lead and he is in front for the first time this year, what do you think he will do in the last race.
Is Rossi going for the win, or he will just follow NH and not risking to much?

Personally i think we will go for the win.

I'v yet to see Rossi sit back if there is the slightest romote chance of a win.............he's a champion, he wants to win the race and the championship at the same time.

He didnt sit back at Estoril!

go for the win .... who wouldn't want the glory of winning the last 990cc race ever?

Sorry to contradict you all but of course he's just going to 'follow Nicky'!

That's what Nicky said and I believe him!!!!
Because of course Nicky will be leading this race from lap 1 till the end. LOL!!!!

rossi will want to win the championship on the top step of the rostrum,no doubt about that.
its just not in his nature to follow anybody for easy points.

He can afford to just sit back and relax behind Nicky Hayden depending on where they are on the grid but knowing Rossi he'll go for the race win but not at a great cost.

exactly!!
He's a winner. No way he is just going to settle for 2nd place. He will probably win and prove once again why he is the deserved champ!!

So are you honestly telling me that for example Capirossi(P1) is leading by a good 4 or 5 seconds over Rossi (P2) with just a few laps remaining but Rossi knows he is capable of catching Capirossi if he really tries. Do you honestly think Rossi will put himself on the limit and possibility of losing the World Championship just for catching up with Capirossi for the race win when he is safe and has the title secured where he is already?

No, that would be illogical and not something The Doctor would do.

Edit: Maybe Pedrosa, thats what he tried doing in Jerez in the beginning of the year.

Rossi will do the same thing he did at Philip Island in 2004. All he had to do was take second behind Gibbs and take the title but he made it one hell of a last lap. He's a winner... bottom line.

(I was going to say Superhuman but that would cause one hell of a ruckus).....LOL

speaking of hate.....where have all the Dani fans gone this week?

i doubt nicky can lead a race, he can only do it on his home ground. I am pretty sure edwards will have a battle with hayden. As for Rossi he will play it smart and go for the title,if he can win it then i believe he will go for it but not at any cost.

i rekon rossi will be sensible - if he doesn't need to go 100% he won't. i rekon hayden will bin it anyway.

You said: "i doubt nicky can lead a race, he can only do it on his home ground." uhm, I think he won a race outside of the U.S.? Also, he didn't have the benefit of having been practically reared from the time he was a gamete (before birth) on the GP tracks like most of the other riders. Which actually is more extraordinary that he was leading the championship until dream-snatcher-pedrosa to a giant crap on him.

To answer the question: Rossi is a proven champion. He will try to win. (But so will half the rest of the field.) I can hardly wait.

Hey Jumkie...what's up...just remember that Nicky had a bit of help in Assen....half the field was racing on hospital beds....pretty easy to lead....
