If he get's a chance to win then he will, definately.

As for competition, Loris, Marco, Dani and possibly Nicky are the ones to watch out for and I think Loris Capirossi might just be able to beat Valentino Rossi if he's got the bike underneath him.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Do you have inside information and it's going to rain sunday therefore handing the victory to CV?

Eurosport today reporting "rossi under pressure" - about he's just got one chance this time rather than often having races to spare in previous years. Also talks about rossi believing he has a good chance if he and edwards qualify on the front row. So there's his plan.

Gonna be a great weekend. I think i'll even watch...

...friday practice LIVE. I haven't done that for 3 years as i don't get english commentary on eurosport (only eurosport 2).

''Rossi under pressure''..???
I dont think he is under pressure..why would he? He's leading the championship by 8 points. I would understand it if he was under pressure when Hayden had a 51 points lead, cause obviously Rossi wouldnt want that gap to be any bigger. At this point, maybe, the pressure is on Nicky, he's the one behind. Of course it wont be ''easy'' for Vale to clinch the title (cause basically anything is possibe), but it looks very promising for the Doctor.

Oh well, it's nice to dream

If he does I will root for him...so far with his attitude I hope he has another DNF to finish of his season. I dont like guys who ask others to win a race for them , like Nicky be it jokingly but still said" I hope Turdosa helps me win it. ...Am I understanding him wrong? Looking how he lost a lead of 51 points I think he is serious. He doesnt believe he can win it and results follow the attitude. Thats why I stopped liking him.

Did Nicky lose 51 points, or did Rossi gain 51 points? You can say Nicky lost them, but that'd be admitting that he made it easy for Rossi.

Good point, Nicky fell off the pace just as Vale hit a sweet spot, a bit of both.

The other way to look at it is, would Rossi have lost a 51 point lead like that? I very much doubt it, and thats the difference. I think it's laughable that Nicky is whining that Rossi just has to follow him round this weekend, when Rossi has been finishing it's been at the sharp end, thats why he's leading with more DNFs than Nicky. A sharper Nicky in the second half of the season might still have a points lead, and you cant blame Dani for that.....

Hum, he's too young, plenty of time to improve.

51 tears, to be more precise

Watched Rossi interview on Italian telly today. They have super Motogp coverage and a good relationship with Italian riders so they get away with asking cheeky questions. I had to laugh when one of the guys asked Vale "So how are you feeling? What's different this weekend?" and Vale totally laid back goes "Nothing's different. Except people keep asking me how I'm feeling" with this perplexed look on his face. haha!

Re Franco Fangio's post.

It's interesting how different people have different logic. To me
the pressure was definitely OFF Rossi when he was so far behind -
he had nothing to lose.

Now it's pretty much stating the obvious - pressure is definitely
on both.

With regards to losing the lead - Hayden would still have had it if he wasn't taken out last time. Rossi definitely gained it in my view.

Whether Rossi wins tomorrow or not he is an absolute genius and one of the best ever.
