damn I think i'll GO to Valencia!
Either way it's got to be a great race. I want to be able to say "I was there!"

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Alex @ Oct 19 2006, 09:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>So are you honestly telling me that for example Capirossi(P1) is leading by a good 4 or 5 seconds over Rossi (P2) with just a few laps remaining but Rossi knows he is capable of catching Capirossi if he really tries. Do you honestly think Rossi will put himself on the limit and possibility of losing the World Championship just for catching up with Capirossi for the race win when he is safe and has the title secured where he is already?

Of cource not, but if was Gibernau in the lead.....

Whatever the result I bet it's going to be an exciting race. Even if Hayden doesn't get crowned World Champion, I'm sure he'll be more mature than his fans has been lately.

& (I've posted before), he'll have the extra oomph in him now, I think this whole episode will make or break him - we should see a better racer in Nicky Hayden over the next few years, he needs to stop being nice and get the devil out
<
..........trust me, we are going to see some aggression from NH now

Hi Doc. You said "just remember that Nicky had a bit of help in Assen....half the field was racing on hospital beds....pretty easy to lead...."

Question::: Will you say if Rossi wins the championship: ""just remember that Rossi had a bit of help in Estrol....half the field was racing until pedrosa decided to take a giant shi.....t on Hayden....pretty easy to win....."" ???

I'd say it makes it easier to win when you're opponent is not there.
BUT!
Think about this:
It's easier to retake a championship when you shine and your opponent is lackluster.

I would say that. But in saying so, I'd remember that Rossi battled the entire season and NEEDED/deserved that break...given his terrible luck this season....if anything.... the bad luck scale was leveled by the Estoril torpedo heard round the world.....

To me, Hayden has dropped the ball since Laguna, leaving the open door for Rossi to retake so many points. If for example, Hayden had been able to stay consistently on the podium after Laguna....the "pedrosa-derailment" wouldn't have had this big an impact....

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (andrei @ Oct 19 2006, 04:51 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Considering the fact that Rossi has an 8 point lead and he is in front for the first time this year, what do you think he will do in the last race.
Is Rossi going for the win, or he will just follow NH and not risking to much?

Personally i think we will go for the win.

How about reversing the question? how many think if Hayden was going in with an 8 point advantage into the last race, wouldhe go for the win or just follow Rossi and not risking too much?

i rekon he'd follow rossi to the line.

not that i don't think hayden is capable of winning the race but i just don't think he has the killer instinct that rossi has.

vive rossi

e made it one hell of a last lap. He's a winner... bottom line.

(I was going to say Superhuman but that would cause one hell of a ruckus).....LOL

You should say it...just to see the reaction again.... have you seen the movie YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ? the scene with the horses at the gate of the castle ...and how the horses react to the name of the woman keeper of the castle...I thought it was funny.

...that's the more important question, will Nicky 'suck it up'? It's a no brainer what Rossi will do, will Hayden be able to handle it?
If Nicky rides like he did at Assen he can forget it, this is a pivotal race in his career as much for his head as for the title and Rossi won't be only guy he'll have to beat. May the best man win.

was that in reference to my saying I came in third? You dont see a connection between my saying it and the other guy saying " A WIN IS STILL A WIN" ? Yes it is obvious you do not see the connection. Oh well, what ever.
