What if the Ducati GP9 dominates in 09?

They will not dominate like they did in the first season of 800... they stole a march on everybody and made the rest look silly.

You can't keep finding massive amounts of horsepower when your at the limit and the rules are trying their best by reducing fuel etc.

It is inevitable that the other manufacturers will catch up to Ducati, Yamaha will struggle a little but as long as they are close, Rossi can makes up the difference.

Things are a lot different now. The engine casing on many bikes is now the primary stress bearing component. Teams like Yamaha and Ducati bolt the swingarm right on to the back of the engine casing (or so it is reported).

The carbon fiber frame isn't really that important for bearing stress loads anymore. As you may recall Ducati use the steel trellis mainly for marketing reasons in GP. They are simply going to dump 5 lbs of steel for 1 lb of carbon fiber.

It will definitely change some of the bikes handling characteristics, but it ain't the same as trying to build a carbon motorcycle frame that bears a majority of cornering stress.

Alryt becasue switching to the more dominant tyres and having yamaha come up the with best M1 fielded since 2005 wont have even slightly helped valentino,nor having been beaten 2 years in a row will Rossis focus and desire have been sharpened?
we never saw valentino in a position to really stick it to Stoner and break him last season like he could with the other guys on the 990s until we got to Laguna seca and when he did casey didnt like it one bit (see post race interview),Valentino got under caseys skin and upon realising he could wind him up like he did with such ease with sete or max except having to go a different way about it he could achieve the same result each time.(you all seem to forget stoner was doing laps a second quicker than Valentino at seca so there was clearly NOTHING wrong with his tyres there jsut valentino completly outfoxing him) .You know the conspiracy guys seem to be increasing in numbers so maybe your the sheep now?

They were not the same tires he Qualified on. SO Bahhh at you buddy.
