Manatee you think these guys just show up at a GP weekend, do the practice, qualifying sessions, actual race, and the press conferences?

There's far more they are doing, and it's not a 10 hour a week job or some ridiculous .... like that. All of the prep that they have to do would make most people thankful they only have to work 40 hours a week.

He didn't quit in midseason, he ANNOUNCED he was quitting in midseason which is perfectly normal.

Besides, he didn't want to be there for 2012 anyway and was ready to call it quits at the end of 2011 but got talked out of it by HRC.

His cruised around for the second half of his final season because he didn't want to be there and the bike wasn't perfect for him. He upped his effort at Phillip Island so he could win in front of his home crowd and further solidify his godlike status to the Aussie syncophants.
I'm no fan of Marquez, but at least I can respect that he doesnt quit when the bike isnt 100% sorted.
Many here know that I'm a huge fan of Ryan Villopoto. What he did this season was reminiscent of stoner. His effort and commitment was shamefull. It's no secret that Casey Curmudgeon is a good friend of his. Isn't it ironic? I really do think....
I choose to see things how they are not how I wish them to be

Sorry, my previous post was in error, you obviously are in the medical profession, and in the employ of Honda in that capacity and hence in a position to assess that he faked the broken ankle. He must have judged that obviously deliberate practice crash at Indy (when leading the times after winning the previous race) finely though, crashing hard enough to make it look plausible that he had injured himself but managing to avoid doing so just so he could pretend to have broken his ankle for the rest of the season.

No, you've been choosing to see things as how you wish them to be.

Which is all well and good, but the record reflects something else, and you're about as far from an impartial observer as it comes.

Which is fine. I fully understand why people dislike Stoner in spite of how irrational the dislike is. Every Stoner hater focuses mostly on his personality, then tries to diminish his track record by talking out of their ass or making up things like, "ANYONE could have won on the GP07, it rode itself!" or then going on about how if he was that good he should have won more championships at Ducati while ignoring no one wins at Ducati since Capirossi had that one victory in 2007.

lol you can respect MM because he doesn't quit?

No he just slags off the design of the bike from the chassis, to the swingarm, to the brakes, to the tires, to Stoner, but that's not really throwing anyone under the bus since he is a "durrrrrrrrrrrr durrrrrrrrrrrrrr true warrior durrrrrrrrrrr durrrrrrr". I'm sure Honda loves to get bashed like that, and I'm sure the mechanics feel oh so ....... great hearing that little prima donna bitch whining all day long. ....... please Manatee don't start with the ........ of hypocritical double standards because one guy conforms a little more with your idea of what a modern GP rider should be; sucking off Carmelo and is Spanish. Stoner never tried to murder people on track, but thank god he didn't because I'm sure some of you ....... would be sending 100 email messages to The Hague screaming that Casey Stoner needs to be brought up on trial for the ever vague "Crimes Against Humanity" card.

Sooo... coming in for numerous 2nd place spots (with a broken ankle) on the podium is not as noble or smart as continually crashing and getting no points at all?

The problem both Mankini and Dubs have is the mere mention of Stoner turns them into raving, irrational lunatics.

The red mist obscures their view.

I've heard that some folks are just constitutionally incapable of admitting they're wrong. Tho having no direct experience of this phenomenon I cannot confirm this from personal experience.

No?

I can tell you from personal experience that you're incapable of admitting you're wrong.

It does! I admit and I don't know why. I feel the same about Jack Miller. And no one else. I think I have a problem. I dare you guys to mention them in the same sentence. See what happens. I ...... dare you!

Ok.
Jack Miller and Casey Stoner are talented Australian motorcycles racers.

Now please proceed to go on a whiney, hysterical shitcrack. Please. It looks so good.

Lets not forget his ultimate etiquette transgression.... whooping Rossi's ass on the POS Ducati in front of all his fans. Miss Manners must have been spinning in her grave. I hear dark rumors that he wipes his mouth on his sleeve and even sometimes uses a desert spoon for eating soup. I'd reveal more - but all this talk of vulgarity makes me feel like I need to take a lie down on my fainting couch.

Two points here Kesh.

Aussies do not wipe their mouths on our sleeves, we reserve sleeves for wiping of the nose and use the arm for the mouth

And secondly, Aussies have NFI what a desert spoon is as for us a spade is a spade and a spoon is a spoon, one may be bigger than the other but that is for others to worry about.

:D

Dub, I know what u mean about miller. He's the real living Beavis or Butt-Head (one of those two, too lazy too look it up). Though I was rooting for him in 125s. Anyone except another weasel cock spaniel.

Edit: ....... Moto3. Jesus, I'm still living in the past.

And since Kevin Schwantz found that pass remarkable, I am inclined to take his word rather than yours, given he has quite some history of making remarkable passes rather than merely observing them.

Mike, the sheer fact that Schwantz paid homage to that pass actually indicates how good a pass it was at that time as Schwantz was and remains no fan of Stoner having been quite critical, so for someone so strongly critical to comment positively it must have been an impressive pass (and credit Schwantz to as a critic, pay the compliment)

Michael, as curator of the Stoner museum, when do you think the Stoner teeth exhibit will be open? I heard its been delayed because they can't fit them through the door
How long does it take for a broken ankle to heal? He milked that injury for 2 months and missed as many GP's as possible. If that was Lorenzo or Rossi they would have been back on the bike asap. Some would argue that Im comparing ........ and orangutangs. I am, just not mexican ones. Honda and its infinite bag of goodies easily could have outfitted him with hand controls if needed. The ankle was not a hindrance shortly after at PI. In his last race he finished over a minute behind his teammate.

We all choose to see things as we wish them to be. I envision Sparrow as Kate Upton with a giant cock and I see Migs as Gollum, huddling in a dark corner repetively muttering "Death To America"
Look no further than Krapo. Dude was informed and still formulated asinine and biased opinions. The only truth that we can ascertain is that the tires and factory rides matter. What Stoner did on the GP 07 was quite a feat but dont kid yourself that would have happened if the Duc was outfitted with Michelins

The problem both Mankini and Dubs have is the mere mention of Stoner turns them into raving, irrational lunatics.

HAHA. Says the Guy that turns into the Tasmanian Devil on meth whenever Rossis name is mentioned

Mike, correct me here (anyone?) but did he not also race with the same broken ankle to fourth?

Not bad for a guy who gives up I must say

:)

If he stuck around for the club races Im sure he would have given Joe Privateero an atta boy for doing the same thing

How broken was the ankle that he was able to ride on it when it was supposedly snapped in half but unable to ride on it the next 3 GP's
