Sorry about another Stoner topic

I would make a terrible superstar sport figure or celebrity. I have never asked for another humans autograph, and dont understand those who do. I just dont get the idea of if i somehow touch another person, or get their autograph, that somehow my life has been enhanced. When i go to a race, i watch the race, party with friends and go home. I could not care less about seeking out participants to be in their presence, or rushing to victory circle to celebrate in their victory. Since i feel that way, im sure i would look at a bunch of autograph seekers with disdain as well.. just let me do my job, i dont need, nor want your adulation.

I see your point Lyria, but the price of success is having some people not like you. The majority of stoner's haters are not pure MotoGP fans but more Rossi fanboys who just want to see him win.

It sucks, I agree, but there are an awful lot of people out there who's day he would have made by not assuming they were going to spit at him, and without the fans he wouldn't be getting paid remember? Most of us get the crap end of the stick in our jobs but we have to out up with it, thats life. He chose to leave and fair do's to him. But he's left so why continue to justify his decision?

He's left, so why keep going on that you don't think his decision is justified. As I have said, Pink Floyd  with an income which dwarfed stoner's, stopped touring and made  a rather long megaplatinum sellling album partly based on the incident after dave gilmour was spat at by a paying customer.

I do the same as you Pov with one exception.

I go to get photo's of the event also.

Now if I get a good pic of someone I admire at one gp,

Then at the next one I attend if I am lucky enough I will ask the rider to sign the pic.

I sorta look at it as a visual reminder of goodtimes,

When Alchseimers (cant spell) sets in ;)

ps This year has taught me to carry 2 cameras, so I can also record what has been going off around me ;)

All the pics i take are of bikes ,, or action shots on track. I did however take a picture of a chicks ... at Indy one year in a Ducati bikini.  I remember we were at Barber one year and a buddy of mine see's Ben Bostrom slinking through his hospitality tent,He is a big fan of Bostrom, so he hollers, Ben, can i get a picture. Bostrom obliges, i take the picture and he says, you want one too. Never even crossed my mind, i gave him a thumbs up and an im good.

Isn't the MotoGP paddock defined by the limited access of its players?  The recent thread about going to the Aus GP was unanimous in declaring the WSBK far better because you get access to the paddock unlike MotoGP.

So when Stoner jumped on his team scooter and sped off who stayed behind and signed autographs for 30min?

The article was written by a 'Staffer'.  Easy for a 'Staffer' to write a negative article about Stoner as it will guarantee them some hits in the off season.

Only cowards like Stoner run away and speed off on a scooter.

I think you have a very poor vision and poor analytical ability if you can't see that.

Oh I agree, ignoring your fans is appalling, they help put you where you are in many ways. Anyone who attends races to see you or buys your team wear and associated items like models and so on pays your wages with their hard earned cash, so sparing a little time for them is the least you can do.  Jacques Villeneuve hated the meet and greets and used to annoy his fans, I know that, but via his fan club he was more than generous to them so I found.

No person deserves to be spat at like that though just because some people prefer another rider. But going on and on about it isn't going to endear him to people is it?

No no no, I think you may have missed the point.

The reason Stoner was spat at is not because the fans prefers other riders.

It is because Stoner keeps on using excuse of Simoncelli's death as the reason for his retirement. Fans think it is very disrespectful to lie and use that as an excuse, when in actual fact it is his cowardly behaviour that make him quit.

Fans know Stoner is relieved about that fatal accident. then Stoner lied about it.

Yeah it's like when Hiroshima & Nagasaki milked the bombs, or Jews them there concentration camps. Fuckers.

I think Cuckoo needs to get over Stoner and get laid. Preferably with a large chested well shaven chick (pun intended).

I'm with you on that.

Never ceases to amaze/dismay me when grown men holler "It's Nicky!" and then bolt off after the dude in red leathers just trying to get from the garage to the Duke portacabin.

I give the riders credit for putting up with the umpteenth photo with a parade of dribbling starstruck floggers.

He is what he is, trying to fake it would be worse in my opinion. You at least realise what he said is about an element among fandom, which poor old dean didn't. Please give examples of more genial competitors/performers who take being spat at, or jeered at charity days, with equanimity.

Obviously the really pressing issue in motogp even in his retirement is to make sure everyone knows stoner is a whinging prick, rather his point I think.

I only quoted this because it bears repeating.

Top work, michaelm.

I would shove Stoner out of the way if he was blocking one of the monster energy girls.

I was much the same,

2010-2011 seasons.

I have 20,000+ motogp pics

10 that have been of worth ;)

Now I carry 2 cameras, 1 for the beasts,

And the other for other beasts ;)

If you know what I mean.

Spoke to Bostrom in Valencia 2011 it was only after I realised who I had been talking to,

Funny as fcuk we were taking the piss out of someone together and I didn't have a scooby who he was!

Wish I'd got him to sign something!

But I reckon cos I didn't know who he was,

He was more himself ;)

Goodtimes.

Ok, we do not need anymore topics about one Casey Stoner. He doesn't race bikes anymore. Love him or hate him, he's gone, deal with it. If you find yourself reading something about his garden or perhaps the 3rd article you've read this week based on the same interview post it in one of the plethora of Stoner threads already existing. This .... is getting stupid.

I think the thought process is if Casey's name is kept in the forefront, he will see that he was liked more than he thought and will come back.

Casey Stoner will not care about whether he is liked more or less. He will only come back when the competition is not strong, in the coming years, Stoner will watch closely and analyze the competition, if he thinks the competition become weak, then this coward will make a "heroic" come back...

Thats Stoner, the smart, the cunning and the coward.

I agree, never ceases to amaze me either, I mean, Jesus, its like they have no enthusiasm.  Just "its Nicky"?  C'mon, if you really want his attention you have to yell it more than once.  I try to put my whole body in motion myself.  And "bolting off" please, nobody has ever got a good autograph like that.  I usually use NFL type tackles to get Nicky's attention.  Which I have, on every occasion possible.

On a related note, why are people confusing this single member blog entry by some Cockoo clone working for Superbiasplanet?  I've read some god awful .... on this site, and I gotta say, this has got to be a new .... stain mark.  This entry is basically a cut and paste job from any number of nerds who dislike Stoner for whatever reason they have imagined in their lame brain.  Every ....... rider has whisked away on their gay ... scooters from fans.  Every single one of those fuckers.  Thats why it best to leap right in front of them.  Use your body as a speed bump.  Do whatever it takes.

.... all yall

Ah, it's nice when a real life observation from the PI paddock also serves as (unintentional) bait.

For what it's worth, Nicky's conduct in front of slavering 'fans' is exemplary. He just brushes himself off after the crash tackles and flashes his $20k ceramic teeth.
