Thats a little different line up than we are used to. Spies seems to have figured out the bike. This is 2 in a row where he has been fast and at the front. Now, put the weekend together Ben. Rossi seems to have given up even trying till the new engine arrives, or he has cut a deal with another team already.

Given up? how did you reach that conclusion? What a stupid thing to say !

Ducati must be glad they have these new safer tyres.

How do you guys actually survive the english weather btw, isn't it supposed to be summer?

Correct - this is as good as it generally gets.

Look at the tortured expression on Matt Roberts face - doubtless in part due to the painful PR platitudes - but by the end of it he looked hypothermic. Any of my visiting friends last year from the US will immediately identify with this.

What a ....... mess the Silverstone .... weather track is!!! They need to construct a dome around this ....... place.

.... QUAL!

Edit: Has ZERO to do with the tires. Its .... weather, dicey conditions, cold track, patching rain, gusts of wind. What ....... tires are made for this?!? The starting grid was a lotto of luck timing. People say Indy is ...., well guess what, this track is claiming more riders with the vast run off areas. Twice the hometown hero has been a victim of .... weather. It might as well be ice racing on slicks. ....!

Had you have made the trip again this year I'd wager that the impromptu arrival of this man on centre stage might have gone a long way to set the blood pumping and restoring a little warmth to your heart and soul. Now take a deep breath, count to ten and feel the love.....

Yah mean the guy in the ski jacket and woolen cap?

Watched morning warm up from the Luffield complex. During a lull in proceedings a young hare gambolled brazenly onto the track from Christ knows where. Upon realising it's potentially fatal error began running in startled circles before eluding all attempts by the marshals to chase it away and promptly took off around Woodcote faster and with a better line than a CRT bike. Having run rings around the Marshals it then proceeded to run rings around Colin's lap time. Had this had been 3.57 in the afternoon we could possibly have seen a leveret grab pole.

The CRT's are a sad sight. They spend more time having blue flags furiously waved in their direction and pulling off the race line than they do threading together a lap time. Sound wise - it's a completely different matter. Pirro's Ten Kate tuned blade sounds mental, and Edwards 1000RR is like a gatling gun on the over run!!

Rossi is the new cruising caretaker. Taking care of self and paycheck

But but, CRT's are the future of the pinnacle of bike racing.

I asked Pov if he had watched the qual. Obviously he has ignored me. Knows his opinion amounts to ...., as he bases it off a scoring sheet rather than based on what he sees from the riders. Had he seen the actual proceeding, he would have witnessed Rossi pushing hard enough to go off track a few times, and eventually crashing. Doesn't sound like a guy cruising around not testing the limits of his bike. I'm sure hes not aware that the qual was shortened by the .... weather. Bautista on pole, are you ....... kidding me. But how would Pov know this? He hasn't anted up for a vid pass because of his "boycott" (though he mentioned in another thread he would be making it to Indy this year to see Stoner complain about the track again).

Thanks for the pick me up Arrabi. Despite my verbal outburst during qual, I would still have loved to be there with you guys freezing my balls off. But seriously though, you guys need to do something about this Brit curse. Kill a ....... chicken and throw the blood on Cal while praying to the racing gods man. This .... is ridiculous.

I thought that was stoner's fault, as was the previous tyre. Scrap the control tyre rule, and let the factories co-develop tyres which suit their bikes. What the .... would dorna and/or loris capirossi know about tyres which suit modern bikes?

While that may be ideal I'm not sure how well it would work or if other tire companies are even up to the task. Dorna and Capi didn't come up with the tires, they let BS do that and the riders were allowed to decide what tires they wanted by vote. Don't forget the old tires were a major source of complaint by the riders. Over on GP one they have Rossi saying the crashes by Duc were due to track conditions and that it wasn't because of the bike or the new tires. I didn't see all of todays action but did the two guys who were against the new tires get eaten up by the track?

Pov is only interested in two things, sucking stoners .... and hating Rossi. Everything else in motogp is irrelevant to him. His posts prove this.

Dude it's been a frustrating season with the damn weather, at least we've got sunny California coming up, can't possibly rain there right.

In 3 dry sessions this weekend, Rossi has been well over a second slower than his teammate and slowest Ducati. There is simply no excuse for it. Its not a new revelation either, its happening on a regular basis. He is cruising and has admitted it when he confessed that he had no reason to push the bike to finish 6th or 7th. Thats by definition is giving up.

Well look what happened when he did push !

For those that watched qualifying, I think I read where Nick binned the bike on a flyer, could have possibly qualified much better?

In all fairness Pov, both Nicky & Rossi went down like a sack of spuds with no warning after hitting a bump in the brake zone.

That has to be disconcerting when trying to push the bike to the limits.

They would lose confidence on corner entry for sure because there was no chance to save the crashes.

At this level confidence is everything.

Well at least he's sticking it out. Taking the rough with the smooth and all that.

Sticking it out for the $15 Million dirty Malborough cigerette money? Pathetic. A 9 times W/C with 259 wins to his name should be a minimum 1 second per lap faster than a lucky one time W/C team mate with 3 wins. That would mean fighting for podiums every week. Now go drink some more piss and harden up.
