Silly Season 2018

Under the official factory team. They are not blacked balled like Biaggi. I just don't see HRC putting any riders from that group on the FACTORY TEAM.

I really don't understand what you are trying to say here.
What group? And how does Biaggi figure in anything today?

Biaggi was black balled by Honda a crossed all their motor sport organization. This is not the case with riders in the vr46 academy. However in the official factory team. Honda may NOT want to have anything to do with riders in the vr46 academy! Sure they can ride in the satellite teams, they are not contracted to HRC. The reason I believe this, has to do with flopsy 46. He is NOT regarded favorable within HRC for obvious reasons from the past.

If you ran a business, would you deal with a toxic supplier?

Interesting hypotheses, Valentino himself is surely blacklisted from any HRC ride, though I do not think this would extend to all upcoming talent who've had association with VR46 academy.

HRC are proud, but they are not stupid.

Krop reprinted on Twitter that Jack Miller was offered the Repsol ride and turned it down.

I just can't believe that so many riders are turning down the HRC seat. It seems like common belief that you can only beat Marc on another bike. I don't want another year of Pedrosa looking pathetic out there, even Rea would be a more fascinating possibility

“Dear HRC,

.... you, ......

Love,

.......”.

According to an article on Crash, Miller was unaware of the HRC offer.

“ I haven’t turned down anything”

It would be crazy to turn down a factory seat, especially when he is on a satellite team, I think.

Yeah, just saw that too.
But I don’t think Miller is too fond of HRC, after they fed him piecemeal for 2 years (Even though they fast tracked him to MotoGP which in hindsight was more to lock him out of other teams than build their future around him).

He is really happy with Pramac, will get a factory contract and 2019 bike next year and has a definite career path outlined to factory Ducati of he keeps up his performance. I don’t think he is dissatisfied at the moment tbh.

I think so. If he has a choice, he is likely to choose the Ducati factory team over HRC.

If true, HRC are offering 1mil to buy out the contract.
I think he is worth more to Ducati at the moment.
Edit: 1Mill is the buy out clause.

I understand why he is happy at Pramac/Ducati but if I'm a Ducati rider I would be a bit worried about how I'm going to fare once the Ducati loses its aero. They seem to rely on it far now than the other factories currently.

Honda dropping Pedrosa?
And what now?

Ran into an article on an Italian sports newspaper that said HRC talked to Lorenzo, in addition to the already known contacts with Rea (which is still a question mark) Miller (who refused) and Mir (who chose Suzuki).

No one seems to want an HRC seat and if you ask me that's ...... up :D

Did Mir choose Suzuki or HRC didn't choose Mir? :D

But yeah certainly, the best bike on the grid is available and it seems that a lot of riders don't want it. And why would they? They're going to MM's team, and I'm not blaming the guy but you'll never be on equal terms with him. He's got the benefit that he was breed in HRC. Plus he's one of the best

Pedrosa is out of HRC it's been confirmed. I think he might retire and test.
