BTW - here's a quote from Jorge and his
team manager about his chances for the next round.

“Following my injuries in Laguna Seca, I am feeling a lot better after a week of rest but I won’t be at 100% this weekend,” he continued. “I have some pain in my foot when walking and also in my shoulder joint. My aim as ever this weekend is to be on the podium and to try to get as many points as possible.”

Team manager Daniele Romagnoli added a positive Fiat Yamaha perspective on the situation, saying, “Jorge won’t be in perfect condition but he will be a lot stronger and therefore able to push harder on the bike this weekend than he could in Laguna. In America Jorge showed once again that he has a great determination to achieve his potential whatever condition he is in, so we hope that in Germany we can be in good shape once again, be at the front and fight for the podium.”

Unlike Pedrosa, Lorenzo dosent seem to get hampered by his injuries. Reckon he will be as strong as ever.

hmmm...this is gonna be a tough one... Both lorenzo and rossi dont like this track...although rossi has some good results here. (cant say the same for lorenzo) Pedrosa was a rocket last year until he crashed. Stoner was quick as well and won as a result of pedrosa's crash

Can't see any body else getting into top four unless crash or machnical failure from top four.
 
This race is the halfway point, although the podium has been dominated by only 4 guys, the points battle has been the closest in a long time.

The ever present, top 4:

1. Pedrosa - he has won here in the dry and has shown he has fast pace in the wet as well (at least until Puig was feeding him misinformation and he binned it last year)
2. Rossi - he will get his usual terrible start, work up to 2nd, but wont catch the slowly slipping away Pedrosa
3. Stoner - could the mystery illness be over finally? If he gets a good result yes, if a bad result, he will still be sick.
4. Lorenzo - time and time again, he has shown injury still means a good finish

If Pedrosa is given the proper bike he can win it, Hopefully stoner's menstrual cycle is over by now and he can get on with the racing and Win the damn thing! Lorenzo can make the podium he is a tuff SOB. and Rossi well he is Rossi!! Nicky has done fairly well through out his career at this track so im pretty sure he can be in the top 5 again.

....just because, he deserves it Frost. He also like the ring. Another guy that's fast here is Marco, and in the absence of any monster straights, he may well be competitive.

The usual four to feature this weekend..in what order? I have no idea...but let's pray it's a close one like 2006. Anyone recall the rubber up the side of Nicky's leathers after that race, where he'd leant on Dani's front tyre through the Omega turn?

Also, someone will unload violently on 'The Waterfall' in practice as they always do.

The Stones are really propping RDP up this year. So much so, everyones given up the 'guess the what lap Randy goes down' thread, and even the 'how many more races will Randy stay upright?' thread which replaced it has even disappeared.

Kalio to make a convincing return - JT to struggle, again.

Hey, I started that thread last year, in jest of course, but it does have me disheartened that the "Randy" man can't dump it like the old days. I'm joking of course, as I'm glad to see him succeed. Could be the Bridgestones, or could be the fact that LCR made him sign into his contract he would have to pay out of pocket for 10% of crash damage (something I vaguely remember overhearing Cox or Parish mention during one of their terrible coverages).
