Sachsenring prediction

Swami Sez...

1. Stoner or Rossi.
I'll give them both a 45% chance of winning. This is maybe not the Duc's best track, but Stoner's recent form has been astounding. I think (hope) the two will be very close.

3. Haystack over Peddles by a slim margin.

(An alternate possibility puts the Sith Dwarf a close-but-hopeless third, with Hayden several seconds back.)

Followed by Colin, Lorenzo, Toseland and maybe Capirex, who is due for a good race.

Last year Capirossi ran the new 08 Bridgestone mediums and had no tire problems. He finished second.

Rossi is unstoppable when braking down the back stretch. I think he would've won this race last year if he hadn't binned it.

1. Rossi
2. Stoner
3. Pedrobot (will fade b/c he's amazing as long as TC is doing the work; i.e. early race)
4. Lorenzo
5. Edwards
6. Hayden (two steps forward, one step back)
7. Dovi
8. Toseland
9. DeAngelis (riding conservatively)
10. Nakano

Jeez, it's almost Laguna already. Honda have made no progress.

TC becomes more significant at the end of the race when tyres are worn and fuel is low

Stoner
Rossi
Puig

All square at the top heading to Laguna. Casey on rails at Laguna reducing gap to 11 points.

Oh not when the tires are stone cold?

Okay. His first lap heroics must be skill. Nothing to do with his weight or his launch control or his TC.

Tires don't wear out anyway unless you ride a Suzuki. Nearly everyone in the field holds pace or gets faster. These ain't 990s

and the lap times posted from assen prove this i think. im sure fastest race laps were towards the end of the race for most.

The tires are at their best for the first few laps, they gradually wear down and performance drops, but at the same time the bikes get ligher and that's what keep the lap times down, not the tires.
It's rather obvious that TC play it's biggest role at the end of the race.

i believe stoner will win if its wet or dry, this race will be a fight for 2nd and 3rd.
i think when pedro and rossi get there upgrades then i think they will be able to challenge stoner.

but of course i hope im wrong im still waiting to see some action.... even if its just for one race.

nah, stoner doesn't really go well here., 5th last year and dnf the year before if i remember correctly. this will be a pedro rossi duel. if pedro get's up front early he will win but if rossi gives him a fight we all now how that will end up. have faith my friend there will be no aussie banter on the forum this week.

But with the super dooper mechanical, the bike drives itself software package he is sure to be the winner at least a full straight away

Rossi's had an off.
I think Stoner is over due for an off during a race. Sachsenring prediction.
He's had them in practice but its been a while during a race.
I don't wish him to have one but watching him last race, boy does he push it.
Anyone else think he's heading for a fall the way he throws it around? Or does he have it on a string?

a much as i dislike pedro's attitude i still dont want him to fall off, i dont wish that on any rider

thats all i ask for is some overtaking and scrapping at the front.

I think one thing with stoner is that he has fairly amazing reflexes. He and the ducati did their best to disassociate from each other twice at jerez but he managed to stay on.

I think when everything is going well with the ducati and he is confident that its performance is consistent he gets into a zone in the races at least and is unlikely to fall off. When he is not so confident in the bike his riding can look somewhat rough and ready and as you say he would seem to give himself a chance of falling off.

1. Rossi
2. Hate to say it but Pedro as he overtakes Edwards late
3. Edwards
4. Stoner
5. Hayden

If the race starts dry, then starts raining, pull names out of a hat
