I just think Zarco was penalised for a legal move. Yes he forced Rossi off line but that's part of racing. Rossi is a smart guy he always manages to make these situations whether he's on the receiving end or not work to his advantage.
How was he penalized? If you believe that Rossi should have lost a position, they could have done that. Let's say Rossi is ordered to let Zarco pass. Rossi beat Zarco by almost 8 seconds. You don't think Rossi would just pass him, again? Rossi passed Pedrosa who beat Zarco. Hell, Crutchlow passed Zarco. I don't see how Zarco was penalized.

Meh, the issue was simply that Zarco's pass attempt was late. If he could've got in front of Rossi prior to the apex, Rossi would've been forced to yield and roll off the throttle. But since Zarco was late, Rossi still had the line and was forced off track. Racing incident, but not how block passes are properly performed. All in all... understandable mistake from a rookie. Still incredible job from Zarco for even being in a position to attempt the overtake.

Rossi whining about Zarco having the nerve to pass him on a satelllite bike
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.mo...for-austin-move-this-is-not-moto2-897291/amp/

Rossi thinks no one should ever race him.

Only he is allowed to race people when he happens to be in the mood.

But if you dare race him? God help you. Just ask Marc Marquez who got kicked off his bike for racing Rossi.

Rossi is riding for podiums, and he is making the calculation that as long as he is P3, he is betting on MM and MV taking enough points off of each other as someone already mentioned. Zarco taking him on for position can .... all of that up now that he knows the Ducati threat has been eliminated...because really let's face it, Ducati being competitive in 2016 was a threat to Dorna's effort to gift VR that 10th title...get the winglets off and suddenly the GP17 looks like a third tier bike again. Option #70 tire being introduced till the riders said no, but was rumored to make it's way to Austin, yet no reporter asked and wrote about it? Hysterical.

Option #70 isn't just a tire, it's Dorna defrauding the sport yet again.

I am confident Rossi would've repassed but he still made a pass and deserved to make Rossi work to get back past him. If the riders were the other way around do you believe Zarco wouldn't have been made to give a position.

Rossi at the post race press conference said that Zarco is the problem and he's too aggressive. He's the last rider that should be complaining about another's aggressiveness.

I still believe he gained a position, Zarco put his bike on the inside Rossi should've picked up a bit and continued. He didn't he picked up and ran across the run off. People pick and choose when arguing about if it matters more to be in front or on the inside when arguing overtakes like this depending on who the rider is.

Except not going off track was an option. COTA isn't a narrow circuit and he could've slowed and changed lines like nearly everyone he himself has picked up has done and carried. I'm sure he was going to get back past Zarco and still beat Pedrosa to the line either way but someone put their bike where he wanted to put his and he didn't like it and rode off track because as always he refuses to yeild. It's hard to see clearly from the video but Zarco looked at worst totally level with Rossi, not in front but not behind.

You seem to be arguing that a racer shouldn't behave like a racer. Most racers will keep on it in any circumstance, not giving up a position is natural, race direction or equivalent to sort issues from club racing to WC.

BTW, I have watched the replay repeatedly and I don't believe Zarco was ever ahead.

Also, Vale's a .... if he's dissing Zarco over this.

It's close but I think you're probably right. But then when they're neck and neck surely the guy who already has his bike where the other racer wants to put his bike should have right of way. I wouldn't expect Rossi or any other rider to give up position but he had to leave the track to mantain position and IMO should've been punished for doing so. He has picked up other riders who been left no choice but to yeild position or leave the track and they've yielded.

I agree about him being a .... about it, as Marquez said he is one of the guys that can't complain about tough passes.

Just repeating the same old tired accusations doesn't make them real.

The golden rule of racing in any class is the guy in front has right of way. If you can DEFINITIVELY get a wheel in front things change. In this case Rossi had right of way. 0.3 sec penalty was a good decision overall.

WTF!!!!

Just watched the race . Rossi cheats again and gets away with it!

That was a pretty pathetic move.

An interesting question asked on another forum that has yet to be answered - is the item over the right shoulder a camera and if so , is it in a safe spot (not sure where the pic was taken) not inserting as the image is damn large - http://www.marcvds.com/uploads/news/3971/dg1_3611.jpg

Ok, uploaded to one of my galleries and resized

SNS hotdogs eh...?
Those pricks will stop at nothing.

Not quite.

They hard the hard hot dogs that were frozen so took forever to heat up before reaching optimum temp.

Then there were the mediums which had already been partially defrosted so were easier to get to temp but went off faster if overheated or left out in the sun.

Apparently the wet hot dogs just couldn't be used at all because they chunked it it was to hot or just did not grip the bun well enough

Hehe, nice one Gaz.

JLo (nice chap, don't get me wrong...) can't manage the mustard... can't seem to grip the thing.

Actually, I think you would be hard pressed to find an Italian that considered anything other than their home-town cuisine to be edible, let alone a tube of mechanically deboned lips and arseholes.
