Rossi to retire?

i thought there was something about the tv coverage the camera cuts away just before the warm up lap Pedrosa jumps on the #1 and rides its ... off

meanwhile stoner trundles around in third trying to sort the arm pump shitting syndrome out..the things Dorna will do

it still wont beat BSB 2012 6 races 6 Different winners (Dream on Motogp) no tronics or TC And loads of action + the Red Flags good riders were ok

And world peace will be achieved, climate change will reverse, world hunger will be a thing of the past, nuclear warheads will be dismantled, everybody will be educated, poverty will be no more, everybody will have a high standard of living, nobody will suffer pain, and Jesus Christ will return to take us all to Heaven.

Allow me to use your words with a few adjustments...

You know Mental better than he knows himself! And thats saying something as we all know Mental's got his head up his own ... most of the time!!

Check out Kropos Site, one little harmless yet very true critique from Krop of Stoner, and he's caused an uproar amongst the Boners, Hilarious-Krops not too popular in OZ.

And MickM, I never said that anyone deliberately changed regs to favor Stoner, I only said that the regs did favor him. The Regs were changed for Honda and Dani, Stoner and Ducati were the highly unlikely beneficiary.

Personally, I feel as though Rossi would be better off to retire if the bike continues along its current path, I don't feel as though a rider and crew like Rossi's can compete anymore with the regs that we have in place, which are designed to crush innovation.

Their talent lies in their ability to dial up solutions on a race weekend-to suit the circuit and conditions, which requires a flexible equipment supply approach. This is not possible anymore, and certainly not with Ducati, who are still well behind-but thats what happens when you play against the ones who made the rules......

Pisstake aside.

Yeah I cannot agree more with you there Pidg the marshalls did a fantastic job.

And hats off to the camera man that ditched his post before 160kg's? of bike did a breakdance on his viewing platform.

It could have been a lot worse!

Man the second vid with Josh Wainright was sepang all over again.

Let us all thank fcuk he is okay!

Never mind Rossi, more importantly .... JB is retiring!!

seriously who cares, he is far from the best crew chief in motogp.. maybe in the day he was best but as these bikes get more modern i think hes getting abit lost.

Rules crush innovation therefore Rossi can't compete????????????????

The Ducati experience proves Rossi can't ride an innovative bike, he can only ride a bog standard, twin spar framed, normal geometry, non aggressive, Jap bike with tyres design especially for him against riders who have inferior equipment and less talent. Anything slightly innovative and he cry's like a little ..... Talpa.

Pidg, good to see all riders relatively ok after those, that was pretty serious

As for the second one, sorry, reminds me more of the Craig Jones incident moreso that Sepang but that is one very lucky rider (not to mention the guy that hit him)

120 years ago you would have paid to see that 2 round the back of a circus tent, next to the bearded spider woman, the half horse boy, the real live angel, the unicorn and the funny Australian.

OK the last one is too far fetched

Are you serious, truthfully. Ducati have been the only manufacturer to try anything outside the norm over the last 10 years. Now that Rossi & JB are on the scene, they have reversed that & made an exact copy of their rivals. Rossi the innovator, your kidding. Honestly, do you even think about what you type.

I agree. Ducati was imo the only real prototype on the grid. Cost zillions with little reward at that imo is what's up with the series.

I really supported Ducati because of their innovative approach. As with anything new, you will always strike problems along the way, & it is the ability to engineer solutions which makes new technology sucessful. I don't think it is the rules that created a problem for Ducati, it is their inability to listen to the rider & develop solutions based on their feedback. I think from 2007 to 2010 they wouldn't admit there were problems because they were winning a few races, therefore left everything as it was. Then from 2011 when JB got on the scene, he couldn't engineer solutions with their unfamiliar (to him) technology, so he has gone for what he & Rossi know.

Trouble was the competition moved on at such a pace a small firm like ducati did not have the resources to really further the project from the 07 800 inception bike. This started to show with casey in the years after 07 on the duc and has continued on the downward spiral since. You can work your balls off making a bike faster and spend stupid money but if the competition is moving forward faster it looks like your going backwards.

I would be interested in knowing what ducati lap times were in 07 compared to 2011 on the same track with similar weather conditions same as for the Yamaha and Honda? My bet is the bike is faster, just not to the same progression as the competitors.
