Rossi Stoner Psychological Battle

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (djm @ Aug 10 2008, 02:55 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>and that sounds like a pure ....... to me. i think rossi acts like a spoiled little brat, and has gotten his way for far too long. nobody has really taken it to him, and i'm quite enjoying seeing him, and his fans squirm.

funny thing is. the "elbow" incident is one of the greatest examples of favoritism. most of you have probably never taken a step on a race track, much less raced. and i can tell you for a fact, that when a bike/rider gets that close you take every step necessary to get that ...... off/away from you as possible. nobody likes to get tangled up at 100+ mph. so in rossifanboyism eyes rossi was in the right. but i can tell you from experience he was being a punk. and HE should have gotten punched, not the other way around. it just simply amazes me the level of passes rossi gets. he defintely plays people like a violin.

you know i came on this board and want to make sure that some of you understand. i'm not even a CS fan. i'm a kawi fan. i root for the bike, and whoever is on it. CS is just the first rider i've seen in a LONG ....... time to come onto the circuit and within the rules give VR a run for his money. like him or not, its about ....... time.

Ok, your point is, you dont like Rossi, and you have raced.

So no one else can have an opinion.

Amazing. Thanks you for teaching a 10 year old fanboy like me who has never even sat on a motorbike the error of his ways.

Poor Westy. I bet he never imagined he would be a stinging blow in a pro/con Rossi argument.

And nice Hypno-Toad add, Curve.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Babelfish @ Aug 10 2008, 10:43 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Well, let me tell you something for a fact, as an x-racer that what Biaggi did was to drift wide when there were no reason to except for pushing Rossi into the gravel, then put his elbo out just to make sure. The rest of your pittyfull post are not even worth quoting.

Btw. I'll be thinking of you and have an extra joy watching West making all his fantastic races at the very bottom of the result list

funny how when you exit an apex at high speed, it seems to run you wide on exit. you can argue all day that he did it on purpose, sorta like argueing if rossi did it to gibs on purpose.

and all good man, i get an extra joy watching ANYONE beat rossi. gets me all warm and fuzzy inside.

funny how it's "ok" to dislike other riders, but if i dislike rossi. OH NO!

the guy has talent for sure. i would never question it, but the guy is a pompous ..., and i'm entitled to my opinion and have my reasons why just like everyone else. whether 99% of this board likes it or not.

you are indeed entitled to your opinion, i think we all get the message that you dislike rossi. after all pretty much everyone of your posts gives that opinion.....yawn

With a 2% lean angle at the exit? Right!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>funny how it's "ok" to dislike other riders, but if i dislike rossi. OH NO!
You got it totally wrong, I don't dislike westy or hopper or Kawa for that matter, but when westy does as he has done so far I will, in addition to fell sorry for him, feel a small joy not aimed at Westy but at you because I know you want Kawa to do well.
Dislike what ever rider you want. With only 18 of them on the grid I have a hard time to dislike any of them, allthough Pedrosa comes close.
But that is for quite obvious reasons and everybody else on the forum seems to hate him for the same reasons. So far what I've seen from you are just throwing out "Rossi is a spoiled little brat" with now obvious reason what so ever. I'm sure you find a few episodes as example but I'll bet that will look very thin to your discription of him. Even those disliking Stoner at least seems to have some reasons for it.

no, i didn't get it wrong. i can read and comprehend just fine. i understood exactly what you meant. as far as im concerned, its the same for me. maybe i just got tired of everyone rooting for rossi all these years, and giving him a pass for everything he does. if any other rider does anything, they seem to get crucified for it.

it's sorta like rooting for the patriots the past couple of years. way to easy to jump on the bandwagon. way to easy to root for the winning team. sure, there may be some true fans out there, but for the most part ppl were just rooting for the team they knew (or had a higher percentage) of winning. hopefully you got my point.

while i always root for the guy's on the kaw, i did see casey up and coming, and i've enjoyed his success. it's just a nice change of pace. does stoner do things that get under ppl's skin? appears so. but rossi does that for me. and while it may have to be starring you in the face to be obvious, or be the "popular" thing to do. it doesn't for me. i shouldn't have to sit and line by line explain ALL the reasons rossi irritates me. from his smartelic comments, to his on track tactics. i've viewed alot of them over the years, and it's been a pleasure for me to watch someone else win. nobody seems to have really given rossi any true threat over the years. this has been the best GP season for quite some time imo.

but who should really care? so i don't like rossi as much as his fans. big deal. it does seem to really upset his fans for some reason. everyone is entitled to thier thoughts and opinions, no matter how unpopular they are.

Just to get back to the topic...

After the Laguna race Casey was furious. This anger can be motivating also, but I'm sure from now on he won't be so calm when Rossi will be behind him. Hope Rossi won't becom a "dark angel" as he was for Sete and Max.
At that time was really entartaining how Rossi destroyed psychologicly Max (ON TRACK) riding behind him, showing the wheel at every corner

an angry Stoner attached. Look at his face muscles, he is pissed like hell

and a very-very sour-bad loser Stoner attached. He just a step from crying

So rather than root for the guy who is winning (as Rossi probably was when you started to dislike him) you hate him? Seems like a lot of effort to me.

Yeah so what is Casey supposed to look like? He lost. I guess some people like to lose so they are perplexed by his facial expressions. Rossi looks like an arrogant big F.U. is about to come out his mouth towards Casey. He won and should feel confident and obviously his ego was boosted by the win. Reality is that it is a healty rivalry that will only get better.

fair play to stoner, i always respect a bloke that can apologise.

rossi the wise experienced one.
