"Rossi Beater" Spec RC211V Debut Delayed

It may be an indication that Gibbers will not be back with Honda in 2006. If you were an HRC rider and HRC told you that you could still ride their bikes, but not with factory status and not for factory pay and then asked you to test their brand new machine what would you say? My response would be exactly what Gibernau has done, he agreed but then stuck it to Honda. It looks to me as an indication of Gibernau's frustration at Honda.

i say give it to nicky. if gibbers is not going to test the bike, then why wouldnt you give it to someone that is going to be with honda next year and will test.

My assumption is first of all, Nicky's style really doesn't sit well with any of the Honda riders. He loves to slide and be loose where all the other riders really like a tight machine. The other reason is that I think HRC are trying to only give him what he can handle, he still needs to adjust to the RC211V and find that solid setting that he seems to have found at the Brno test. Having him test and develop the new bike is something to distract him for the remainder of the season. I say wait to give the machine to Hayden until winter testing.

agree totally with ooost with concern to hayden.. i think hes always gunna slide but must adapt a bit and find the winning touch..

I think that winning touch needs to come from his team too, they all need to find the right oackage for him.

Read in MCN today ,Honda cheif saying summat like-`our riders must adapt to the bike`...sounds a bit hostile to the riders wishes/styles,I thought.

The more they get beat the more their determination blinds them to important input,ie THE RIDER.I just think they should re-organise their whole strategy and make their riders feel part of a machine not just `twist this and deal with it`.Honda have already rushed out a bike at Brno this week and fell flat 1st day with an `unrideable bike.

First day of testing the bike was real bad, apparently.I`ll go read MCN again to make sure Doc

Here we go...Japan ordered the bike not to be used Monday ,some kind of safety concern.Honda president Kanazawa stated`our riders caqn`t understand our development way for the machine`.

What the ....???!!! Talk about having your head up yer own arse! Honda desperately need to do a 'Yamaha' and let 'people' develop their machines. In order for them to be no1 again, IMO, is to let the riders have more of a say in development and not be so 'tight' about their development startegies. Honda need to do some thinkin. They've got the money and resources, they just need the people. You can see how much difference 'people' make, take a look at yam...

Honda are going to be in a bit of trouble until their younger stars are consistantly front runners and have the ability to develop the machine. Riders like Hayden, Pedrosa and Melandri.

so true ron!!! it's irretating ain't it!

Honda has been that way forever. That is why the American Honda has decided to go on their own to develop their own bikes. It's not going too well this season but they at least have their fate in their own hands.
It's also the reason Colin is no longer on a Honda.

Honda are an arrogant bunch, it was one of the reason's Rossi left. Its why I enjoy watching them get beat, and can you imagine the stir it will cause if Rossi wins Motegi as well as the Championship there. Shall be so cool

I still reckon riders have to adapt to the bike, thats what makes Rossi great he can do it more that any of them. If ya can't ya gonna fail. Its why Hayden is not doing well.

From what I have read at the beginning of the year and from what has happened during the previous years the lead Honda rider has the biggest day in the development of the bike. This year its Mr Biaggi, last year it was Mr Barros. Hence this year the bike is gonna suit Biaggi (opposite style to Hayden). Next year who is gonna be top dog Danni or Nicky. I think Honda will be in trouble next year too.

Rossi wanted to prove that it was more the rider skill than just the bike. I guess he was right.

Rossi wouldn`t be where he is without Jerry Burgess, behind every top rider is a very competent engineer who can read his rider like a book.Vale would win without him but have to work that much harder for it methinks.
