"Rossi Beater" Spec RC211V Debut Delayed

Unfortunately it is foolish to bet against Rossi otherwise there are a few underdogs who have a VERY good chance at a victory this weekend. When a rider comes to a circuit and flat out claims "I don't like this track" then goes into FP to float around in 12th or 5th as the last two rounds have gone only to shoot to the front of the field by the end of qualifying, if not before, it is something remarkable. You would be foolish to bet against him.

However I will say this, Rossi will be pushed hard this weekend and I believe it is his time for a mistake. He appeared too relaxed in FP2 for being at a circuit he doesn't like, the lead group who I believe will be filled out by Rossi, Edwards, Gibernau, Melandri, Hayden, Hopkins and Capirossi will push Valentino further than his Brno ability will allow. I look forward to it, someone needs to get in Vale's head.

Way I see it is whatever bike that Vale is on,if it`s been touched by Jerry Burgess, sooner or later it will be a winner pretty much like Erv Kanemoto used to weild his magic for many Honda guys.Rossi+ Burgess is the best combination we`ve seen for a long time.Funnily,I can remember the same .... flying around when Mick Doohan dominated the 500`s.At the end of the day we have to give credit to the hard work Yamaha team as a whole have put in.

I just hope Rossi doesn't run away to F1 when Dani starts kicking his ....

I personally think Pedrosa`s gonna get his arse kicked even though the new 3 pot will be lighter . Its the power thats gonna be his undoing.Don`t think he would be in MGP without it as has been said before,he`s too small and needs to talk to Loris about Bulking up his physique

I have heard rumors that Honda's V3 is already nearly as fast as the RC211V. Dani is going to be fast right out of the box.

rossi beater in their dreams is this an attempt at a mind game
remember when vale jumped on that yamaha the bike itself was not a winning bike it was down on power and had loads of chassis/suspension problems but did this stop vale winning?

no one consistantly chalenges vale each race has someone different giving chase if they happen to be good at that particular track

ok so on the faster circuits vale may have to work a bit harder to keep the pace

but if they are only testing at brno then this bike has to do alot of laps at different circuits to iron out any problems if the suspension has been changed then the old data they have will be useless

the only way they can beat vale is with a big stick

ron i can c where ur cumin from, but hav a look at this we r rossi fans and love the way he rides if its bak or front of which yes he can do very well but respect to uuuuuuuuuu

Didn't think Hayden had one of the new bikes though it was only Max and Sete had them

aaaaahhhh more info please :frustration smilie:

damn...your too quick for me.... I am incorrect. Nicky is the fastest but with his current bike. Max & Sete were to test the bike..

Here is the article from Motpgp.com

New Honda V5 test halted at Brno
News, 29/08/05

With the majority of MotoGP teams and riders staying on in Brno after yesterday’s Grand Prix, a full day’s work testing was scheduled today for a large chunk of the MotoGP class. Things seemed to be progressing as normal as riders from Honda, Yamaha, Ducati, Kawasaki and Suzuki took to the track during the morning. However, shortly after the hour-long lunch-break, it was announced that the eagerly-awaited first appearance of the latest spec Honda RC211V would not take place in the afternoon as has been expected.

The new machine was set to have been tested by the senior HRC riders Sete Gibernau and Max Biaggi, but with the announcement, both riders were forced to stick with the bikes they used in yesterday’s race, with Gibernau in particular aiming to find the cause of the fuel management problem which blighted his machine on the final lap of the Czech GP, and brought his race to an end.

“The factory have been running a parallel test on the same machine in Japan today, and we found a problem which meant our riders will not be testing the new bike on safety grounds, stated Honda spokesman Ian Mackay. He continued; “We cannot say what the problem is, other than the fact that it was felt that until the causes of this problem have been analysed and solved, it was safer for today’s test at Brno not to go ahead. The safety of our riders is paramount, of course.

Honda could not confirm whether the bike would be available to the riders for tomorrow’s second day of tests.

Ooost has been packing and moving back in to college. so he may not be here as often as we would like. give him a few days.

We all know Vale likes his statistics, I think Rossi is trying to win at all the tracks he didnt win at last year. Hes already won at sachsenring and Brno, Motegi next...

Does anyone think he wont win at Motegi? we know hes not a fan of the place.

Ok now....Max has tested the new machine. Sete didn't think it was worth it to spend time on the new machine and concentrate on his current ride.
http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2005/Aug/050830o.htm

Max Biaggi: Best lap: 1:59.399s - 47 laps. "It was good to get out on the new machine today. I managed about 20 laps and recorded my fastest lap of the day on the new machine. The new machine has lots of potential and I can feel it is a little bit better than my 2005 machine in lots of areas. We found a lot of positive points for HRC to develop - especially the feel of the machine under braking and turning into corners. I'm looking forward to racing the machine as soon as it's available."

Sorry all, I'll do what I can here. Max and Gibbers tested the evo machine, Max 20 laps just .183 seconds off his fastest lap of the race and Gibbers 4 laps and it is reported he went quicker on the new bike than in his race but reverted to the 2005 sepc RC211V as he felt it would be more important for the remainder of the season. Hayden went second quickest with a 1'57"6 on what is most likely a Q following Capirossi's 1'57"5 on a Q. The most impressive number from the test was 1'57"7 from Hayden... it was done with a race tire. A full second quicker than Rossi's lap record from the race and only .2 off Gibernau's pole position. Hayden was on.

Sete needs his ... kicked, Honda put all the work into a new Bike and the he only does 4 laps, Gezz give it to hayden, Sete's got head problems

it is surprising how Sete is dealing with the new bike. He is treating it like it is next season's model and that it isn't important at this time. I would love them to give the bike to Nicky or Marco so that they can spank his whiney azz with it..
