If you actually watch the video of the same interview, he sounds like he's about to cry the whole way through, voice quivering and honestly, his compliments sounded forced through clenched teeth and bitterness..
Humble, classy, respectful, gracious? .. I think not! Put a show on for the cameras so you can scrounge some dignity from an absolutely ...... title defense, i think so..
It was a shte title defense from a champion that barely won it in the first place...so he is actually riding at normal level for him now...

Look at the circumstances! Hayden is ridding a bike built for a midget, on tires that are not up to par, and still learning how to make the most out of a new style. I think he did very well given the circumstances he was given. He will do much better next year also. Where you see ...., I see success. Don't be that guy.
Where You See Success...I See Execuses....
Hayden is not a Biaggi, so let the blame for losing the title sit on his shoulders and his alone...just like he won the title by his own doing....NOT because he had the best tires and bike in 2006...
The only thing Hayden should do now is take off the number 1 plate and go back to the numer 69....HOWEVER, the FIM MotoGP rules state that Nicky can keep the number 1 for the whole year.....but would he want to continue to remind himself of the fact that he could not even call himself champion for complete calendar year?
