Primacy Motoraad GP Deutschland Predictions & Race

Marc does not seem to give a heck about the challenge of winning with a different manufacturer, nor about money...he only cares about having a competitive bike.

I hence reckon he will stay on a Honda as long as he'll think it's the best bike for him, but these are only my 2 cents.

I know this is thin ice reasoning, but when MM pulled that corkscrew pass on Rossi at Laguna, it seemed a clear message that he was on a mission (not his prime one) to supersede Rossi, his record and his legend. At this point he has enough money for multiple lifetimes. When a person has so much, it's the little things that count, like more championships and winning with multiple factories to demonstrate more convincingly, that it's about the rider and not the bike. He wouldn't be the first rider in history to become disenchanted by the Honda executive mindset.

Easier to go to Malaysia.

Love Malaysia. All my homies who used to work at my shop in Manhattan, were Tamils from Penang. Was there two years ago. 24 hr flight was tough on body and soul, despite going biz class, purchased with FF miles. Dr. No was kind enough to pull my coat about things not to miss. Even in winter, the heat there is brutal. Besides I still have a few friends in Sydney. And it would be a pisser to meet up with Ozzies from PS.

Marquez is playing with his food, just because Rossi is setting second in points doesn’t mean he is challenging. Like I said, the only rider on the grid who has the speed to challenge Marquez is Lorenzo on a Yamaha.

I would bet he can do it on a Honda as well. I believe he has shown (though it has taken a while at Ducati) that he can work with the team to adapt the bike to his preference, as well as adapt his riding to the circumstances.

Now, will Honda give him the support? I believe they will but the team may play favorites at some point too. I certainly have no insight into the current team’s politics, just the history....

Honda now is exactly where they were with Rossi. One rider who can do no wrong with that machine and a few other riders who can do well on their day, but not really in any position to dominate.

It would do them well to have George on board and get him to be competitive on the bike if Marky Marc pulls a 2004 Rossi.

Mayhaps the two paths are really only one. If HRC develop a more user friendly bike it would not be detrimental to Marquez; perhaps said path will make him even more competitive. Scary thought. With MM being still young and injury free, HRC engineers won't be taking on any new direction. As has been said many times, HRC is always more about the bike than the rider. It was a thing Freddie Spencer talked about openly and was evident when they ignored Nicky and created the Pedrocycle, when they created the hated 800cc class, when they dumped Dovi, who was going from strength to strength, when they ignored much of Stoner's input and alienated him on many levels. HRC will put all their eggs in one basket, same has Yamaha have done with Rossi. Marquez's next contract negotiation is going to be a ..... if Yamaha or Ducati make an offer. It's not inconcevable that he might jump ship just to show the world he can win on multiple brands like Lawson and Rossi.

And there's the rub. Japanese culture is legendarily all about loyalty to the company going back to the days of the Shogunates. That salaryman's rigid adherence to a single employer is so engrained, that they don't seem to fully appreciate that people from other cultures don't think that way. Honda's longtime grudge against Rossi is something they take very personally. You can be sure they don't enjoy a warm and fuzzy relationship with Stoner as well.

Except Honda said in 2010 the door was open if Rossi wanted to come back.
Their door is truly closed for Biaggi (it’s too late anyway), but not to Rossi.

Oh ...., I liked a post by Synn .................... because I ....... well agree with it

HRC need to get the bike more usable by all and, well, let us be honest, that seems to follow Jorge around now doesn't it. Sure, could be coincidence and all but the HRC term will enhance or destroy that myth of mine now.

That said, not su Marc will pull up stumps and leave as I suspect that HRC will throw all they can at him, but surely at some point a guy with his level of success at such a young age will need a new challenge for himself ..............

I suspect that it may be closed now, from both sides as it makes little business sense at this stage in their careers (HRC and Rossi) to start another association as so much history has past Rossi will not have the impact on a Honda that he would at Yamaha where he has such a strong current relationship.

Mind you, team Rossi at HRC post-retirement may work

That window is definitely closed now, mostly on Rossi’s side.
For the same reasons that Pedrosa chose to retire as an HRC rider than ride a Yamaha.

Rossi is very valuable to Yamaha and Vice Versa post retirement. They are going to make each other a lot of money for years, maybe decades.

I have a feeling that if Marc feels bored by his current situation, he would much rather go to F1 than another MotoGP team.

Marc has zero history of any kind of competitive driving. A few pr laps doesn’t make you an F1 driver. Marc is all bike.

This yes.

I would be happy to explain holypuck.
If a bully threw down your child and repeatedly kicked him in the face, would you say, “stop fighting kids” or would you address the problem by calling out the bully.
What happens when you say, “stop fighting kids” is emboldening and sanctioning his bullying. Why not continue to bully if no one is going to point out and stop the bullying.
You’ve now become the problem.

If you notice, I am being attacked by Little Walter and Barry Machine for pointing out the bullying. This is the caliber of scumbags you are dealing with here. Michael M has put me on ignore and threatened to ignore others for addressing the bully.
Barry Machine is such a lowlife he’s attempted to twist my words, take them out of context, and make it look like I’ve called Libby a terrible person. Libby is the nicest person on this forum and instead of defending her, deplorable, ..... Machine and sees it as a chance to stir .... up, and make it worse.

Decent people stand up for others. I’m not saying you are not a decent person, but just realize that if you continue to say stop fighting, you not solving the problem you are becoming it.
Yeah dude. You are the forum Jesus. We r so lucky to have u as our moral compass.

I was going to start a new thread about Bautista, but I figured that, given his result in Germany, it was relevant to put in here.
I mentioned his result in Germany but his last 3 or so performances have all been top ten and in a recent interview he said that the poor form at the start of the year was due to the team being given 'ducati factory references' for the 17 bike, which, once they changed has seen a solid return to form.
In the past, he has been a top ten rider and I think that the last 3 races are indicative of his ability. From a purely non-financial aspect I do think that he should have a ride over Simeon and Abraham.
I wondered what the general feeling was on the forum as to Bautista being without a ride next season?

Just for reiteration, I haven't posted this as a knee jerk to him having one solid ride in Germany.

I like Bautista and I hope he gets the SIC seat.
Quatararo is still young and can find a seat in 2 years.

I think the thing with Quatararo is that he started so young, it feels like he's been around for ages.
He has only recently come back to form. I agree with you, fella, another year or so in moto 2 and if he is still on it then get him across, schnell machen.
