May I ask how a tire supplier is chosen? Just curious about the process. Thanks. But the more changes, the more chances others have to catch up Ducati, no? If yes, then I see it as a good thing.
 
Talk about your chaos factor. Who knows which manufacture's bike the tire will favor - if any.
Would be funny as hell if the Pirellis only worked well with the Honda.

The main criterion seemed to be supplying the tyres free with the control tyre, I think Bridgestone got out because they were not interested in providing tyres which were not the best they could make, and iirc Carmelo at one stage wanted tyres that wore out to supposedly enhance the racing:/ bring an element of change during a race perhaps aping F1 as was his frequent wont.

Now the same guys own F1 and MotoGP Pirelli being the F1 supplier may have come into it.
