Lorenzo's crash was a big shame for many reasons, particularly with regard to interest for the rest of the season, but this could have been a classic race if rossi had more incentive to win. I think casey kept his powder somewhat dry to some extent also and rode a tactical race.
However casey did ride nearly every lap at better than lorenzo's qualifying pace, maintained it throughout the race and managed not to look ill at the end, so perhaps the outlandish theory that he was actually unwell earlier in the year is beginning to look more credible
. I wonder if marlboro man still wants to get rid of stoner?
To bad Stoner didn't have races like this all year. Anyway some people say Hayden is the luckiest rider (06) but I'd have to say he is the most unlucky. Talk about always being a target.
