***Phillip Island Race ** SPOILER**

Yep Stoner too good, simple as that... Other two aussies fairly dissapointing.. Barros did well IMO.. Very boring race though :S

Stoner was so dominant - another Doohanesque performance. Don't worry all you 46 fans - Vale will be on bridgestones next year. I still think the duke is a far superior bike to the yamaha anyway. Vale's gonna need more than tyres.

Valentino did have the fastest lap though (on lap 7).

It is interesting that the brigestones appeared to last better on the ducatis, certainly compared with melandri and west at least, I guess related to the overall superiority of the ducati as you say.

Well the bike has to use those tyres effectively as well which obviously the Ducati was able to do better than the other bs runners. Michelin were not that bad this weekend overall, Hayden was looking very good until his bike let up so i think they are deff closing the gap to bs. The overall package at Ducati is just too good at the moment though, tyres, bike, riders all working well together and that is what makes a championship winning team.

the show has gone, people are switching off

when capirossi passed Rossi and then Pedrosa in a blink of an eye, well thats just how far ahead the Ducati is.

Other teams need to give more and i do want the single tyre rule at least teams can forget about this issue and concentrate on the rest of the bike more.

Why the live speedtrap differs so much from the Motogp website?

330 KPH vs 317 KPH ??

Are they measuring at the same place?

Totaly agree. It looked like Ped and Vale were riding on the bike + tyres limits and then Cap just overtake both with ease..... Cant get it how Ducati managed to produce such a good bike with a fairly small budget (especially compared to Honda).

Yes he did i guess that tells you alot about how the race would have gone if guys that could keep up with Stoner would have been on the same rubber. He won the guy that set the fastest lap by 10 seconds..

Thats cos its a myth LOL

Take away Stoner and the Duc. would have been mediocre at best ....

hence ....

the reason is Stoner ..... I know its hard but ... accept it.

That race just shows the difference between the tyres and the right tyres on the right bike ie. Duc and bridge...... Its a joke! im a aussie and like stoner just as much as rossi but IMO that race was a joke! Bridgestone and Ducati have it all over the rest! I cant wait to see Melandri pilot the Duc! Rossi and Pedrosa just had to work there butts off to stay anywhere near! When rossi had proper grip he posted the fastest lap time! Stoner consistantly posted very good times for every lap start to finish because those bridgestones can.

nonono, you don't understand, stoner is not a good rider, he just has a fast bike on good rubber, this is proven by how close the other ducati riders are to.....oh wait...

yep...pretty much sums it up for me...looked like it was going to turn into a classic and then no one could hang with CS and it turned into a parade.

WTF?

That was a classic move by Loris, and I sure as hell think if you didnt have your Rossi Tinted Glasses™ on, you would see that move for what it was.

If it was Rossi sweeping past Loris & Dani like that - everyone would be wetting their pant's.

Loris rode a stonker of a race.

you would say that even if it was a chimpanzee on that Ducati

development of the bike is as big a responsibility with the rider as it is with the engineers.

engineers dont know how to race a bike, they rely on feedback from the rider.

look how rossi turned around yamaha. alonso with renault. schumacher with ferrari.

each of those teams were ......... before they came to them, or went ......... the year after they left

stoner on the LCR team told honda the bike didnt give him the required feedback it wanted, but they never listened to him, instead just relying on Hayden and Pedrosa.

also it requires a rider to outride thier bike. look at how hard stoner pushes out of the corners, it wobbles like a motherfkr. no way is caparossi prepared to push that hard.

also great to see deloris finnally getting to grips with the ducati.... i'm happy for him, he makes a great #2 for stoner.

Total dominance from Stoner, Capper made the move of the race IMO passing both Rossi and Pedro at/after the straight. Barros had a good run too.

Really thought CV would do better at a track he is more than comfortable with, MM was on a mission too and had a great tussle with Pedro, who is going up in my estimations.

Why did Haystack kick his leg out before his bike gave up? Looked like he was trying to kick Pedroboy off LOL but I'm guessing its their secret language, Okay mate I'm fvcked you can pass!

Did Yamaha race with the old engine? Stomer had 330 at end of strait while Rossi had 308? Strange

Good job from Rossi considering the ..... tyres and bike.

Moody and Rider were saying Rossi's engine was using a mixture of new and old parts but without the pneumatic valves.
