Most of us will never ride a 200+ hp bike with a race twist grip (less travel, more sensitive).
Even looking directly at video can't show what's going on inside the glove (or the muscle fibers of the hand for that matter). Sometimes I let my hand slide in the glove and it would look like I was giving throttle when I wasn't.
Unless we hack Ducati's telemetry data, we will never know. Quite frankly, even seeing throttle inputs isn't enough, because they are intercepted by Magnetti Marelli first.
Stoner has admitted to going WOT in the rain to have the traction control kick in.
Marco has said Stoner going 50% throttle as early as he does is impossible w/o massive electronics.
When riders hit straights, it's very to see them wack to WOT. It's highly improbable that they do this at lean.
No onboard video provides evidence of the alleged apex WOT.
I was 10 feet from the riders at Motegi and can promise you Lorenzo and Rossi were very smooth with the throttle.
Yamaha's have always been the quietest GP bikes in the paddock. They have less db then tthe Suzuki, which runs a baffle. Since more power = more noise, it seems reasonable to suspect that less power (more TC) could equal less noise.
