what a great season so far. the best riders in the world battling it out.

you never know when the bike was going to spit you off their seat. dani leading by7 seconds looked comfortable but as you saw anything can happen at this elite level where only the elite and some say suicidal riders only dare do. but hey thats why they have the jobs most of us can only dream of, travel the world, beautiful women, and get paid to do it!!!

i was on the edge of my seat in sachsenring, i admit i am a stoner fan, and with the atrocious conditions and with a 3 second lead, a win is never guaranteed until one crosses the line, especially with a 7 time world champion who passed 4 riders already and is gaining time on you. oh i dont know how stoner held his nerve. i sure as hell cant.

the championship was a 4 way fight, now has turned into a 3 way dogfight. has been shown this season anyone of them on any given day, any one of the top 3 can win, and once horhey gets over his scars it would be even better., unlike the years gone past when rossi won 9 out of every 10 races.

who will win laguna, can stoner make it 4 in a row, can nicky win at his favourite track, can rossi retain his lead, will dani race, will horhey regain his confidence, or will the other American spoil the party. what about the wildcards can they ruffle some feathers of the more experienced riders. will it be marcos last race in the red, or this will be his career saving ride. we'll just have to wait and see.

who will win the championship, who knows, i sure as hell cant predict it.

for the championship at first i thought stoner, then dani after 2 wins, then horhey after his blistering qualifying and a win, then rossi after 3 straight dominate wins, then casey, the dani again, and now i think rossi is the favourite, a 7 time world champ you would be a brave man to bet against him.

now lucky i'm not a betting man because i would of change my predictions 4 times already and nearly put my money on the whole field! what an exciting season.

who knows maybe horhey can win all the remaining races and still win the WC? they way this season has thrown us twist and turns, it is not without possibility.

in previous seasons gone, anyone who scores more than 260 point would of won the championship on most occasion, this year half way thru the season and 3 riders have already accumulated around 170 points.

if we extrapolate that, then that could mean even if you score 340points you may not even win the championship, heck u may not even be runner up!!! when has that ever happened? we may need some sort of statistics guru to find out if that has ever happened before

and what about the midpack field, devisioso vs deangelis vs vermuelen ... a championship within a championship right there.

what more could i ask for. awesome.

i agree anyone can win, i hope the remaining races , are goint to be a fight for the championship, and we propably gonna see a last decisive race at Valencia

God Pinky I do hope this is sarcasm at its best. If you think this is a 'great' seaon, you've probably only seen one or two seasons EVER.

How about Suzuki's new machine shows up and Capper takes a race or two? Come-on a guy can dream no?

I have to agree. The championship is wide open. 800's rock and they are just going to get nastier & nastier.

You gotta be kidding me man, these 800's are fagget compared to the 990's......the only way they're getting faster is by taking the rider out of the equation and adding rider aids......lame.

I actually agree with a significant proportion of what pinky says, and it would appear valentino does too. Have a look at autosport.

I still don't like the formula though, unless we do get to see actual dicing for the lead in some of the remaining races. I also think the bikes are dangerous as I have said elsewhere.

What impresses me most this yesr is how Rossi has held his cool, I was thinking he would end up like 5th this year, but he has excelled, I'd even go as far as to say it may be the best fight he has put up yet. I know he doesn't seem to be romping it in .... but given that I do believe age takes its toll on GP riders .... he's done well.

It is indeed a good year.

Best post I've seen from you ever Pinky. Not bad at all.
The championship IS exciting this year but I disagree when you give Dorna credit for that.
Dorna has done little to even the field and the actual races has been just as bad or even worse than last year. Not once have we had enything close to a real battle for the win this year while last year at least we had Catalunya that looked like one even though I don't think it was that good either but I see others think it was fantastic.

As for the title, lets hope Dani can get up on the bike on Friday and do well. Without some good points on Sunday he is probably out of it.

Pinky, you don't fool me. (But you did a few here). You're still an ........ Stop getting your little sister to write your post when you want to sound semi-intelligent. I would have given you some credit if it were not for the 99.999999999999% of all the stupid .... you say. So here is my reply to your thread: .... off.
