MotoGP 2011: QATAR

Hmm, live feed from warm-up just now and Stoner didn't seem happy at all. Heard something like "no fing grip at all" against one of his mechanics. Could just be because it's the first session of the day though.

The Marmosets and Howlers may seem unpleasant at first, but they really aren't too bad once you get to know them. Watch out for the Squirrel named SuperShinya, in the isolated cage over by the lake, he likes to throw turds!

Heh. I think I lurked long enough to spot most of the poo-throwers.

prob alberto pig turning the power down on stoners bike, i wouldnt be suprissed

How about a rear tyre from the same batch as the dud one Pedrosa had in FP2?

Now that could make the first couple of races interesting if Bridgestone was delivering a few bad tyres randomly mixed in with the rest for Honda. One more conspiracy theory to track.

bye bye Stoner

.................as he clears off into the distance.

Very quiet start from the regular Rossifans. Your first post in ages, and you attempt to put the boot in

Where are your mates Babelfish and Roger????????????????????

Great race Vale - good lad...but Jorge? Jeez - brilliant.

Casey? - Qatar basically consummated his union with the Honda in '06 ..what else did you expect.

Well, the 4-5 posts prior to yours were discussing potential problems for Stoner, so with you chiming in for the first time in ages, my inference was that it was a timely dig at Stoner.

If that is not the case, apologies

Great effort from Lorenzo...... I hope he's that happy with runner up spot at the end of the season, because the Aussie f is in a different league!

No offence, but the Rossi Ducati livery looks like something I threw up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (without the beans!)

Baldy and Burky are back in town!

Glad to have both of ya back!

Great race by Stoner, and Lorenzo.Lorenzo's happiness after was quite obvious. Was it for beating Spies or Pedrosa?

I guess Rossi did what he could.

Standout performance ..... Dani.

I expected him to be near Stoner, not trading places for so long
<

Dani's shoulder injury, post the Honda bike problem, is a shocker.

I want Stoner to win but if Dani gets his shoulder sorted he will be difficult.

Definitely Pedrosa/Honda. I don't think he expected to be nearly that close, I don't think he feels as threatened as people want him to be by spies (yet) and Ben's race performance really wasn't all that. He wont have it his own way all year, but this weekend Spies was never really an issue.

Stoner's been incredible. He's really amazing. New bike and all and he came first without troubling so much (it seems). But I believe the ride of the day was Lorenzo's. He himself said that it was one of the best races in his life. Indeed he pushed hard. I wonder what he'll do on his/yamaha's favourite tracks. If Pedrosa will be more consistent we will see some great races this year. Great ride by Simoncelli, shame on those who still criticise him. It seems Dovizioso doesn't do all that's possible during the race, I hate this attitude though I like him. Spies has yet to feel 100% confident, but I believe this year he'll get his first MotoGP win, or at least I hope so. Some good laps for Rossi, he might fight for a win too this year.
