Crash's everywhere, serious one at Lukey Heights. Quatarraro from last to second in 2 laps, then Red Flag

His team could rightfully dispute the decision. With his speed he was taking it to binder.
He'll win the race for third.
Back of grid to front twice in the same race.

Binder with a dominant win. Great ride from him, too bad about his brother missing out on the podium.

I was ....... worried for McPhee, hopefully he is ok. Respect to Navarro for trying to call for help straight away.

Whys quartararo at the rear again? Served punishment twice. Completely unfair.

Yea, that seems kinda ...... up. Served his penalty, then had to serve it again. He had the pace to take it to Binder, then after the restart seemed unengaged after having to start at the rear again.

Yeah that's unbelievable really, restart or not he took his penalty and made up ground. Isn't the restart supposed to be a continuation of the race?

Major .... up by race direction. Time was served by starting rear of grid.

I cannot understand how one could come to this decision.

Lad will be fuming.

John is ok , they were concerned about him for a while as he was unconscious but he is in Melbourne hospital and as soon as he is fit to, will travel home to scotland, bless him oh an he bust his thumb ouch...:eek:

Quarto...hmm
So many journos talking him up before he hit Moto3...how many were talking up BB?
Go Journos.

John McPhee will miss Sepang.

But I'm glad to hear he is relatively okay with a mild concussion and broken thumb.

I have to admit, when he got hit, I thought he might have been killed. The way he slid across the ground made my stomach drop as it was a total rag doll.

Completely, horrible to see. I remember Bayliss crashing at Hayshed one year - no slow offs there - and it looked very similar. Knocked himself unconscious.

A few people I know who have raced PI rate that corner the hardest and most dangerous (that being the left after the Hayshed as they top Lukey Heights) as it is high speed on entry with a rise where the bikes can get light and if the wind is around, they will cop a blast there.

I have ridden that track for a few laps at low speed and will tell you that corner and then down to the bottom is quite intimidating for us mere mortals, but also damn exhilerating at the same time. Mind you, the full circuit is a big balls circuit.

Mcphee is lucky and whilst all concern is with him Bastianinni is quite fortunate as well as he copped a full force impact.

That all said, big plus to the sportsmanship of the other two riders who both immediatelly called for assistance knowing the severity of the incident.

It makes it all the more indefensible that the Rossi fans had the gall to cheer at Marquez going down in the GP race. Memories are short, and they seem to easily forget a rider was nearly killed 2 hours earlier.

While turn 3 gets most of the mention for what Stoner did around that corner, what he would do through Lukey Heights doesn't get nearly enough mention. Many a times he came over that crest sliding the rear, with the tire smoking. That takes immense faith given the off camber nature of that corner, plus the complete blind crest you come up on at full lean.
