are you suggesting that ducati might be using smoke and mirrors?
looks like we're all going to need that "in case i get abducted by aliens" insurance policy renewal form again...
Lex! can we have a few copies please?

I can't even remember the source of the later story, and definitely was not trying to suggest a conspiracy, just that it would not be unknown for a journalist on the internet or elsewhere to include a generic X-ray to illustrate a story, or alternatively for information regarding a medical matter to become garbled when filtered through several people in succession. The reported X-ray findings when his scaphoid problem was first announced which as I recall was from semi- official sources did not fit with the X-ray which accompanied a later story is all that I am saying, and I thought that I implied that if his wrist is getting better then the first story was wrong, and that I had overestimated the seriousness of the injury in my earlier speculations.

I take it the question of my prediction about Westy getting 3rd is the question. Just basing it on how well he did last year after coming back from the drive thru penalty. Wasn't he running in 3rd when he had to do the penalty and then came back to 6th? Or something of the sort, can't remember specifically.

i mean spot the contradictions just in this part.
nothing is official and i would be surprised if it went control tyre wheather bridgestone or michilin got it as this gives an unfair advantage to some teams. im thinking more like dunlop or perelli. mcn are a bit like tom, they write there thoughts as facts and are normally wrong.
well it looks like i was right. mcn said dorna WILL impose a single tyre rule for 09 and today its anounced there will NOT be a single tyre rule

I heard casey stoner on australian radio today say that he has fragments of bone floating around in his wrist and will require a bone graft . My original diagnosis of avascular necrosis may be correct.

well i think he should call it a day this season and go and get it fixed before he damages it so much the bone dies.im sure i heard one of the eurosport peeps say that was a possibility.

My suspicion is that this has already happened and they figure he can't really damage it much more. I am not all that well up on the treatment after this particularly in elite sportsmen; they do sometimes fuse part of the wrist joint which may limit his range of motion but shouldn't really affect his riding that much (unless it is his throttle hand in which case he may not be able to rip the throttle wide open quite as quickly
). He probably will end up with significant arthritis in his wrist in the long term which I gather kevin schwantz has after a similar problem.
