Great first part of the race, just what I was hoping for after seeing the final qualification positions. I knew Stoner would get the holeshot and Pedrosa had a great chance of getting up there from the 2nd row. This put Rossi behind a bit, so we would see him make his way thru the pack. When he finally passed Stoner for the lead I had hoped Casey would follow and give fight, but as he said in the post race, he was already struggling at that point. Rossi is a machine, a race win and a championship, in Japan and at their rivals home track, Yamaha couldn't ask for more.

You should be careful. If the control tire goes through and Rossi turns into midpack talent, you are going to be crying.

My one and only conspiracy is that they were testing a 2 supplier control tire early in the season. I think it was from Jerez until LeMans. After Qatar many special tires went missing. Notably Stoner's and Pedrosa's. I also believe that Bridgestone's 2007 tires were banned because they were capable of pulling ludicrous lateral accelerations at some tracks. During the transition from new Bridgestone technology to old Bridgestone technology they were using mass recommendations to put everyone at about 2 lateral g's.
During this time Dorna would have been exercising quite of bit of control. I think they may have slipped a few changes in to help create a spectacle. For instance, letting Pedrosa run a hard rear at Jerez so he could keep pace with Lorenzo. Pedrosa hadn't been close in any session prior.
The conspiracy has nothing to do with keeping Rossi as the champ. Rossi retaking the title was the result. I have suggested on numerous occasions Ezy felt no qualms about messing around with the sport b/c the only legacy he was ruining was Stoner's. Stoner is from a small market.
Early on, I was almost certain that China was handed to Rossi on a silver platter, but I'm not sure that is true anymore.

Before the weekend began, i thought/wished/hoped for a podium for Rossi and when i saw he had won it, i was even more amazed , that he fought to win it.
Of cource a bit less amazed than i was with his performance in Indy, and under that condition.
Yesterday I couldn`t follow the race live, and when i woke up i couldn`r resist looking to news before watching the race. Anyway i enjoyed the race and his fight with Casey again.
Now that all is done in the championship i hope we can have 3 big races, just to keep us alive untill next season. I,m missing it already.
