Done that locally. Not sure one could have a better Sunday morning (barring being joined by hookers offering free samples). You bring up a good point, I was going to edit my post to add, if I'm lucky to find a bike night around here or a bike show or whatever, I'll show up and of the 50+ "bikers" there (and I'm just counting the sport/semi-sport/non-cruiser ones); I will find 3-4 who when asked, "Do you follow GP?" will answer affirmatively. Within the next couple of questions, I'll know if they were lying. In all the time I've done this over the years, I've made about 5 friends who I still keep contact with, two of them I bought tickets from to the track. Here is something even crazier, I used to work for a trackday organization for a few years. I helped with various tasks, from orientation, to track clean up, to control riding, etc. So you get to interact with people who's goal is to ride at the track like 'racers'. I was always amazed at how few of them actually followed the sport, and most of those that did, followed it like some follow stick-ball 'playoffs'. We have fans of the sport, no doubt, as we do get 60K+ to converge from far stretches, thing is we are thin within specific areas. Hence why even though you are a brainwashed republican ruining the nation with your political support for those who hurt our self-interest, oddly identifying with the top one-percent executives of big business; ironically I'd still rather sit at a bar having a conversation with you than most squids I roll with.

The Sunday of the Aragon race, out of the 8-10 riders i normally ride with, 3 showed up to watch the race at the Deals Gap store. The race was on at 8am, which means you had to get your sorry ass out of bed at 6:30am, get a shower, suit up, meet at designated spot, then rail through the mountains at sun up for an hour to eat breakfast with your buds and watch GP. The rest of them could not care less.
