Not sure if it's true, just read on google that Marco Melandri has signed for Ducati for 2007.

Anyone else hread anything?

If that were to happen I imagine Sete having possiilities with the following teams:

Kawasaki
Gresini Honda
D'Antin
Yamaha

In no particular order.

^ Yamaha? As in Camel Yamaha? Or any Yamaha? Coz if it is Camel Yamaha, I don't think Vale would want that.
<
And I don't think it's possible. May be a Honda ride is more likely.

Yea, me neither. And would Gresini take him at his team ever since he left with the sponsorship? I don't know, I was just pointing out the open seats he could take out there.

I don't think he will be on a honda. HRC have a thing about Old people.... But them again Gresini Honda !!

Gresini may not run Hondas next year..

They may run Ducatis..

Think about it...

Sete on the LCR bike with Movistar backing. As for Stoner.... well... umm.... he's a big boy now, I'm sure he can take care of himself

I don't think LCR want to get rid of stoner. Stoner with Rossi was on the cards - according to Toby Moody. But that deal I believe is off.

i read somewhere that malboro were not too chuffed at having two italian riders...anyway sete is almost 10yrs older than marco so maybe he has missed his boat.i like him but the media portrayal of him in recent seasons and the accident this year just haven't allowed him to present himself in a better light.if you look back he took a while to win races and compete for titles, marco on the other hand is on the verge of giving rossi some headaches...ducati have a good chance here to go for the team title and two race winning riders.loris has aged well and is a force.

put simply, marco will win more races than sete in the coming year and that's why you'd sign him as team owner.

telefonica left gresini to support alonso in F1 but he's off to mclaren(in vodafone colours for 2007)they lost dani to repsol so i don't see them supporting sete again.

moody/ryder keep going on about honda keeping the same variables for'07 as this year so we presume the gresini is a honda not a duke

we'll see.

sete gets two podiums at estoril/valencia things change, who knows!

why haven't honda promoted marco to the repsol team...jeez??
keep the american market....ohhh

Melandri has a third "factory" bike with Fortuna he inherited from Gibernau who inherited it from Kato. Or at least it was believed he did at the end of 2005.

Does he still have it? I don't know.

I don't think Marco got the third factory bike. That went out the window when Gibernau left as far as I know.

third factory bike???

i dont understand any of this.... ooost? xB ? care to expand for a confused one?

Back in '03 Honda gave out a third factory bike to Daijiro Kato in the Gresini Honda team. He was their Japanese prodigy. The guy could ride the hell out of a bike! He even challenged Rossi on a RC a few times in '02!

He was their wonderboy and they wanted him to win! They had Rossi and Hayden on the factory team so they gave out another factory slot to Kato. After this accident Gibernau inherited it and kept it for the 2004 and 2005 season. After that I don't know why they took it away. I had thought Melandri took it in the beginning of the season but I guess not.

Feel free to add Ooost.

I'm not 100% sure about it but it doesn't appear that Melandri has done any testing for HRC this season and Ducati's big bait to Marco is a full factory seat so I'm assuming he does not have factory status with HRC as Kato and Gibernau did.
