Le Mans rd 3 RACE

Nicky on the other hand - never gave up.
<

Never has.

Pretty Boring Race for the Most Part!

Jorge made it look easy

the doctor settled for 2nd! i believe he will strike back on home turf

Dovi showed Dani whos going to be #1 at Repsol

Nicky looked great for Le Mans, where he has always struggled! Im Pumped to see him at his strong Tracks! I hope he'll finally crack the podium since he's the only one putting up the points for Ducati

Poor Dani Just lost it, He really needs to get rid of Puig, when he was leading Dovi by 1.6 he had .1 on the board WTF is that! im sure Alberto is beating him as i Type for not being able to hold that 3rd

Gator I got close to blowing my load too but Just got Blue balls because nicky didn't get the podium

Casey crying on the BBC?? wow how odd! I really hope he doesn't ..... out and quit! He is talented and makes the racing more intresting. We'll see as the season progresses! Nicky should give him a pep talk about Mental strength

Naah. It's just that once he knew he'd been punked by Dovi - he stopped really trying.

- but once he knew it was over - all the wind went out

and he lost his concentration.

I'm not convinced, the change was very dramatic and is very unlike Dani. I'd like to hear what he has to say about it

......., I'm seriously concerned for Stoner's mental fortitude after this. I really want him to do well and love to watch him race at his race-pace, but I can't help to admit that his mental bug-a-boos affect him more than they should at such a professional level. I'd say it seems blatantly obvious at this point. I fear I might have to start explaining the dynamic yet mysterious interplay between the mind's power to cause real physical illness again. I'm watching with genuine concern and hope to the Little Baby Jesus that he can turn this around. I want to believe in him.......
<

jorges the man! realy in a class of his own today! rossi becoming the the #2 yam.......& 2nd best alien
<
maybe he will go off to ducati...
<
great ride by dovi loved the last lap revenge pass on pedro... could see he was just bidding his time!
<
#1 honda! nick has got ot be..... well not all together happy but to come away with 4th at his bogey track must be just abit satisfiying even tho he just misses the box again. but oh that pass on pedders for that spot surely sweetend it just that little bit more! oh dani boy where will you & the puig be next season? mr melandri..... guess showa did the trick for ya! 6th will do his confidence no harm at all! ah ben......been a very forgetable weekend for ya.... rookie of the year startin to look like casey's bid for the championship..... fading at light speed.
<
cras..... i mean casey.... whats up? or should i say whats down? his fragil psychy can't take much more of this..... off to honda?..... will they still want him?
<
whats edwards excuse.... totaly lame....
<
off to mugelo!!! it"s gonna be really interesting!!!!!

Naah. It's just that once he knew he'd been punked by Dovi - he stopped really trying. Have to hand it to him

he rode well keeping Dovi at bay for those last few laps - but once he knew it was over - all the wind went out

and he lost his concentration. Nicky on the other hand - never gave up.

It is a shame Melandri was not closer to Pedrosa, because if a Satellite bike had also overtaken a Factory, things would look a bit better for Satellite Teams. Anyway, I don't think Pedrosa had any problem with the bike (nor do I think he did last time around). It seems HRC are focusing more on other Riders input, instead of just what Repsol wants for Pedrosa, Dorna is happy with Lorenzo being Spanish, the pressure is off with HRC and Pedrosa.

3 fourth places for Nicky, it would of been good for him to get the podium.

The Ducati usually goes well at Mugello so fingers crossed.

Good ride by Dovi, he's angry about the contract talks and wanted to get Dani back for last year.

Race started off exciting with Rossi and Lorenzo mixing it up a bit to let Pedrosa catch up, then they get back and line and check out on Pedorosa, I'm thinking Pedrosa cooked his tires trying to stay on the Fiat Yamaha's pace. Dovi and Hayden keep their heads down and start pulling back to Pedrosa, at this point the race was sort of boring. Toward the end Dovi and Hayden catch Pedrosa and it gets exciting again. I'm screaming at my TV at 08:00 in the morning waking up my boys...lol Damn, Hayden fastest lap towards the end of the race! That's good news as several have already pointed out that this is not Hayden's favorite track, so things could get interesting for Hayden in the next couple of races.

Lorenzo looks great, Rossi maybe a little damaged but on the mend, Dovi looking strong, Hayden still looking consistent. All we need is for Stoner to stay on his bike to see how things will mix up at the front. Pedorosa, I don't know, the little turd can ride but seems to get rattled when fighting for position, so I guess thats situation normal for him?

Anyone think that Yamaha and Honda have the wicks turned up on their bikes a little much for an entire race season? I believe that is why we saw Hayden's Ducati faster at the end of the race? Maybe Ducati should turn the wick up a little more and it might put Hayden a little closer to the front at the beginning of the races...I don't know just a thought.

Flawless ride by Lorenzo!

While I find Mdub's gleeful schadenfreude revolting, I have to agree that Casey's head is probably Kaput.   I think the best thing for Stoner is to mentally throw in the towel here and now.  If he relaxes and takes a 'WTF!' approach, he just might go on a winning streak, as happened late last year.  I almost wonder if he's got some subconscious physiological 'thing' going on, where he physically tightens up when anxious and loses touch with the bike?

Lord Puig will have Dani scheduled for an EXTRA long session in the Agony Booth tonight!  I suspect - a thought shared by many -  that Peddles would do better with a happier, more supportive team around him.   You can't immerse yourself so completely with someone as pathological as Alberto without it affecting your emotional well being.  Getting beaten regularly by Dovi, and reportedly ignored by Honda's recruiters won't help either.  I think Pedrosa will inherit Colin's #5 next year, as well as his satellite bike status.

Speaking of Colin - Dude, it's time to hit WSBK or retire.  12th on the Yam is shameful.

I'm picking Nicky to finish 3rd in the points this year.

Great ride form Lorenzo again ala Rossi where he put pressure on Rossi for bit and then cleared off with ease. Damage limitaions again from Rossi when things not working well for him but he needs to step up his game in next few rounds. Really shame about Stoner though, seen his interview on BBC he was really borken man not good for competition. We need CS, motogp needs CS.

Excellent ride from Dovi and Nicky, especially Le mans is not his favroute track and as Geonerd mentioned above he might take 3rd place in championship this year with his consistency.

Hopefully now Nicky has the measure of Dovi and at Mugello - with a good start we'll see him on

the podium.

I too am starting to worry about Stoner. A shame really. I don't think it's a "wimpy" factor so much

as a loss of confidence and the general proclivity for superstition amongst racers. Falling down

that many times in so few races in front of zillions of people at the beginning of the race has to

seriously traumatic. .... luck like that didn't stop Nicky - mind you. Don't count Stoner out yet.

Tho - I don't think this is his year for another championship.

Oh and yes, I thought Rossi did look a little tired after the race.

Mad skills...

On topic: Lorenzo is brainless Rossi wannabe, nuff said

"The shoulder bothered me a little bit," Valentino explained. Adding, "I thought it would be worse, but the real problem was that things weren't perfect otherwise. I couldn't stay with Jorge on corner exit. I tried to close the doors on him a few times, but he was faster and did well."

Stoner... I'm devastated. On Italian TV Vitto tried to explain it was just a "normal" accident but two "accidents" in three races hurt a lot.

It looks like it could be Lorenzo's year, in light of the fact that he seems the only one among the so called 'aliens' who is feeling perfectly confident with tyres from start to finish. Stoner crashes, Valentino laments persistent traction problems in the race (or is he losing the sacred fire?), only Lorenzo does not have any problems at all.

Pedrosa very nervous, Dovi and Hayden on the rise.

It's the time of the "second" riders (Lorenzo, Dovi, Hayden) while the "first" ones (Stoner, Rossi, Pedrosa) are all losing to their teammates.

I'm very curious to see what will happen at Mugello now.

Not sharing data at Yamaha is gonna make more races like this and less of the epic battles we saw last year isn't it.

Maybe. For epic battles to happen, both riders have to feel equally confident grip wise, otherwise one will always manage to pull away. Maybe it's just Lorenzo's super-clean riding style that goes better with the M1 and the current breed of Bridgestones? Maybe Rossi and Burgess are showing the signs of age and the other Yamaha team are better at settng up the bike? Fact is, Lorenzo looks super confident on the tyres especially on corner exit, and that's not the same for Rossi.

Stoner on the other hand looks good in testing but keeps crashing in the race, -- this time he crashed on corner exit losing the rear.

The only resemblance with Qatar was that this time too he was pushing hard, but in this case he was justified as he had to close the gap with the front runners.

Good result for Nicky,if only he could turn the bike a little quicker.Great result for Jorge,he`s growing up in stature with that good win.Brilliant day for me ,loved it!!!

When was the last time the winner in all 3 classes was the same for two consecutive races?

epic race craft from lorenzo again.... YES YES YES nicky you da man!

its to early for rossi to worry about lorenzo we are only a few races in,.... in 5 years time the sacred fire will still be burning me thinks
<
, i belive lorenzo's size plays a part in having better traction (not an excuse).....as he is shorter/more compact i think lorenzo being more in the middle of the bike helps to apply a better balance of weight distribution from front to rear, le mans is a stop and go track so traction is a big need here, also lorenzo always seems stuck to the tarmac compared to rossi as the race is drawing to a close, vale always seems abit more loose but lorenzo M1 seems as grippy on the last lap as he does on the first. could be down to setup who knows?

ive always been one to dissagree that JB is some kind of magician, i mean the guys good but there have been plenty of times where lorenzo crew have been as good or even better.

its just lorenzo's side of the garage havnt had a string of great's like JB has had over the years, whatever people say lorenzo crew are easily as capable as rossi's side.

im kinda gutted for stoner as we are all here to watch the battles, a 2 way fight for the championship will be dam boring... we need stoner to get in the game, dani isnt looking so strong maybe he doesnt have it 100% his own way now anymore.

i hope dovi and nicky can find just a tad more speed it would be a dream to see them in the alien mix especially nicky as he deserves it more than anyother rider.

Rossi has been the undisputed king of MotoGP for years, but no king lasts forever. It wasn't Hayden that was to take his crown, and it isn't Stoner.... no, the heir to the Rossi crown is LORENZO. He is the truly the next big champion of MotoGP. Watching this race was in a lot of ways like watching the passing of the torch from Rossi to Lorenzo. Fantastic stuff...

Rossi - You are still the GOAT. But your time may be coming to and end.

Lorenzo - Loved it. Congratulations, you are the future of the series.

Dovi - You are another that I like watching... well ridden, I hope you do well this season.

Pedrosa - Retire.

Stoner - You just don't have the mental strength that it takes to compete at this level, which is terrible because you have the talent, no question.

Hayden - Fantastic. Words can't describe how giddy I was when you passed Pedrosa. It would make me indescribably happy if you were to finish ahead of Stoner in the points this season.
