this totally ruins the whole point of the forum. Instead of replying to comments about riders and race things it turns into a bitching thing between commenters which arent even related to the race or riders.

in your opinion ! im not going to sit hear and be called a pom in an insulting way,and if you think it ruins the point of there forum ,why did you put in your 2 cents.

back on topic...good on marco.

I thought the race itself was pretty pish really, no real battle, nothing!Fair play to Stoner though, he was rapid and deserved it, his lap times were so damn fast...
I do however agree with Rossi and Agustini in regards to the tyre rules, lastyear the racing was so much better.Riders like Rossi, Stoner, Pedrobot, Hayden and Melandri etc should be battling with eachother week-in week-out, noone wants to see riders riding 10-15secs apart like the ..... parade that is F1.Compare the German GP lastyear to this years for instance, first 4 riders all a bawhair apart, this year, Pedrobot is what, 20secs ahead? It needs to be sorted otherwise its gonna lose the 1 amasing thing it has going for it....proper racing!

Why is it sad I said that?

I am a race fan, I watch Moto gp to see some good, close racing at the front...as does everyone else who watches it ( I would hope).

The race was strung out, and there was very little passing for position shown, the race was as boring as the Jerez race.

How many 500/motoGp races have you seen that have been as you say..."strung out, and there was very little passing"...phleg there has NOT been one that I can remember that has had nearly every lap raced like at Laguna being a "Track Record" time!!!...thats not boring thats brilliant!!!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE<div class='quotemain'>im sure he does have some true fans somewhere, the fact is last season when stoner was not doing to well he picked up the name "crashy" it was also said that he didnt deserve a motogp ride because he was not good enough, funny thing is i cant remember a single stoner fan back then posting in his defense but now he is leading the championship he has "fans"coming out the woodwork so you see where the bandwagon jumper has come from most of the stoners fans on the forum are new members or ex hayden fans. so if the shoe fits !

Roge...I didn’t know about this forum last year...if I would of then I would have stood up for Casey tooth & nail! His LCR was a badly set up heap of crap! And Casey said so, that LCR didn’t listen to him...

Ok let’s have a look at the LCR team, bike in 2007...how many podiums has the LCR got?...none...how many front end looses have they had? Nearly every practice, qualifying & races!!!... if you really analysed Casey’s riding in 2006, you’d have to be a blind cow not to realise that if he was on a top bike in 2006 he would have outdone Pedrosa for a start, but he could also have achieved anything!!! And the bandwagon term is a stupid primitive copout comment made by people who are the same!

Re: roger...I was a fan of Stoner
last year (not this year) and enjoyed very much calling him crashy. For me it
wasn't an insult it was a simple observation and fitted with his
name. It was funny and so i've been using it all of this season
too - tho pretty much stopped it now as it doesn't look like he's
going to crash

oh i agree mate, the lcr was not the best bike on the grid and i did stick up for him a bit last year, i said he was finding his limits and would come good the next year and it seems i was proved correct.
all i was pointing out is why some see some casey fans as bandwagon jumpers. i wouldnt let it bother you, i remember a time rossi fans were accused of this, forum banter mate

stoner was like rossi in assen, untouchable, when your running a pace nearly a second a lap faster than anyone else all you can do is congratulate rider and team

Exactly right Roge....and cheers from sydney australia!!!

Well, that race was pretty boring, not much really happened, Stoner is too good! Shame Nicky and Hopper went out so early, Melandri did extremely well.

Duhamel was a serious waste of space, but its good to have an example of what AMA front runner can do when given a bike worthy of a podium! HAHAHAHA

Rossi view though is not entirely accurate Stoner may have finished 5th and 30 seconds behind. But Capirossi, on Bridgestones, finished 2nd. So it looks like Bridgestones are always competitive, Michelins are not..

I think that Capirossis competetivness was more out of desperation and luck. IFAIK Capirossi did his tire selction against adwices from Bridgestone and his team. More like in France where all michlin teams except HRC followed Michelins advice to select the harder compound rain tire.
But there is a point there. You often see Michlin guys out of tires as the tires seems to work in a much narrower spread of conditions. compared to Bridgestones.

Well, I've been following Stoner since he went to Europe and raced in Spain and England at the same time! Simple fact of the matter is that I only found this site about a month ago, as well as, I'm sure a lot of other people! Aussies tend to keep an eye on their up and coming talent. So get off this bandwagon business please! Stoner is super talented, I'm just surprised a lot of people haven't noticed before now?

The Stoner bandwagon comments arent aimed at folks like yourself. There was a noticeable change at the start of the season, and folks who last year were singing about Nicky constantly, became die hard Casey fans. I cant remember names off the top of my head, but there was a definate surge in support for Casey from folks who'd never mentioned him before.

This lead to the whole "bandwagon" stuff, coz quite a few of us thought it was hilarious how quickly people jumped ship fae Hayboy to Stoner.

I suppose it does happen, people will always want to be seen to be following the top guys in any sport.

But its not personal against the folks who have followed Casey for a good while. It's the glory hunters who folk are taking the piss fae.

Pete
