Aye well thats me told eh?

Excuse me while I cry into my beer........I so need to lighten up.........

Antfan, there was absolutely no reason to react like that. Calm down, people are allowed to criticise riders you like or conversely, like riders that you don't.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE<div class='quotemain'>.... race unless you're an bandwagon jumper.
Really? I'm not a bandwagon jumper and I thought it was a good race. Seeing Vermeulen at the top, Melandri riding through the extreme pain, that midpack battle and Stoner's dominance definitely made it interesting enough for me.

1. HAHAHHAHA, this coming from Mr I Love Tosserland, no wait, now i love Bayliss, how come your not back into sucking JT's ....?

2. What a hypocrite! You only mention Chaz when he makes it into GP's for one race, he does about as well as Fabrizio did in his wildcard (actually worse) and all the poms are proclaiming him as the next British hope, what a joke.. he was only ever an average 250 rider at best, never as good as Ant West as far as being a privateer goes..

3.Keep waiting for Bradley Smith boys, coz Chaz, JT, they aint gonna do anything im afraid..

1. I'll let that lie, you're too pathetic to respond to at that level.

2. Shut up, this is the man who was proclaiming Ant West is the best rider since sliced bread...guess what, no-one cares about Anthony West, he's proved he's only good against a weak SS field and in the rain...HALLELUJAH! He's the second coming!!!

3. In their careers, most have achieved more than Anthony West could ever hope..."Oh I don't care about being SBK champ, I'd rather be a GP rider", go kid yourself, you loved it when he actually won something for once in WSS.

Hmm... I LOVE these stats, whoever could we be speaking about?

1999 - 12th 250cc world championship

2000 - 6th 250cc world championship

2001 - 18th 500cc world championship

2003 - 7th 250cc world championship

2004 - 11th 250cc world championship

2005 - 17th 250cc world championship

2006 - 11th 250cc world championship

I'm sure most riders would prefer being WSBK champ than 250 grid slotters.

Could you please post Davies results in 250cc championship so we can see which rider is on top -Davies or West. thank you.

Exactly.. Ant did the best with what he had available.. Better than any other privateer, including Chaz Davies..

I opened this thread expecting pathetic childish behavior and i was once again correct. So much for a good post race discussion

yeah well i also predicted he would do well on the duc, everyone was calling him crashy and said he did not deserve a motogp seat but i said he was just finding his limits like rossi did in his first year on the 500,
i still think he is an arrogant ausie .... who needs the chin knocking off him like a few on here.
<

Arrogant Aussie ....? The dude went to Europe when he was 15 years old and through hard work and talent has taken himself to the verge of a MotoGP title by 21? I've never heard Stoner say anything that you could call arrogant but then again I haven't read anything he's ever said either! And ....? Where's that come from? You jealous?

michaelm...A bandwagon jumper; why would you call yourself that??? we are all deep inside barracking for our favourite rider(s)...Yes I like Stoner because he is Australian but I do respect Rossi, Hayden, Pedrosa, Melandri etc and all the other riders in motoGP!

It's very sad that some of the comments made about Stoner and the Laguna race or Stoner’s abilities in 2007 are just sour grapes conveyed by jealousy and more so a lack of motoGP knowledge and/or both!!! I have been following gp racing since the days of Barry Sheen and Bazza wasn’t an Aussie I was just a motorcycle fan, freak from my early days and appreciated good racing and a champion! I respected Spencer, Lawson, Gardner and all the greats and not so greats and sure I barrack(ed) for my fellow countrymen but I did call a spade a spade and if whoever was not good enough to achieve or be called great I did acknowledge and didn’t push their causes irrespective of their abilities to say; they will, they could etc etc or call them great!

I find it very sad when comments like “.... race unless you're an bandwagon jumper” are made!!! Like some forum members are doing to push there countrymen’s causes and degrade what it takes to ride, compete and be a motoGP racer!!!...It’s very sad!!!

Guess that means every Stoner fan is just a bandwagon jumper, he was no true fans.....lol what a load of rubbish. Some really sore losers in here.

The comment that I found most laughable was that stoner is "arrogant"! What a joke ... he comes from the Troy Bayliss school ... very polite but very determined! That's doesn't appear as a definition of arrogance in my dictionary! If Stoner is arrogant what would you call Lorenzo?!

As for the wildcards in the race ... I think R-L Hayden did exceptionally well, as did Chaz Davies. You can't fault their weekends at all ... both improved session by session! I'm sure if you asked their teams they would give them both an A! Miguel was out of his depth!

It wouldn't hurt to have two Hayden's in MotoGP ... IF R-L is as gracious as his brother than he would be good in the paddock! My only objection is that he has a hyphenated name ... I suppose it could be worse though ... ie Billy-bob!
<
Having said that, I hope his inclusion would not be at the expense of Ant West ... Ant is doing everything right and is vindicating the belief/hope that Kawasaki put in him in the first place! He is a racer ... He is struggling a bit in qualaifying (like Chris V) but he is a racer!

Regradless of tyres, Stoner was brilliant! Not too many have talent like that at 21 and probably more importantly an old head on young shoulders at that age!

Chris Vee should shut a couple of people up about "doing it in the dry"! BTW, he is 4th in the championship ... seems that means nothing to a few people on here though!

Melandri ... brilliant ... I didn't think he would race! He must come from the Mick Doohan school of high pain thresholds!

Rossi had a great race and did all he could do! He must be frustrated but doesn't show it to the public! He is a class act.

Pedrosa must have been disappointed ... one week is a long time in any sport!

As the season progresses my feeling that the class needs a good clean-out is contantly re-inforced! I hope it happens! There is no room for 4 or 5 of the current line-up regardless of what machinery/tyres they are on!

stoner dominated the whole weekend good showing by him, I found it interesting chris V said this place makes for a spread out grid after the race... it sure did besides the first lap it was pretty uneventfull.

Missed the race here which was shown at 4am, too drunk at that time and had passed out. Stoner seems to have the championship in the bag. Well done to CV and the Kwacker team.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE<div class='quotemain'>The comment that I found most laughable was that stoner is "arrogant

No, NO...krusty just read this one???

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE<div class='quotemain'>I'm not giving Stoner a pass though. Complete over zealous brake bombing into turn one. I'm willing to chalk it up to inexperience. It's only the second time in his whole life he's launched a bike into the Andretti hairpin under race conditions, and the last time he did it was 1 year ago.

Missing the apex by 5-10 ft on lap one in a critical hairpin is forgivable, but you still have to eat all the FLAK associated with poor riding; especially if you punt the hometown hero off his line for no racing benefit.

All he had to do was hit his break point, ride through parallel with Nicky and then drag to see who can get to the next turn first. I could never do it, but I wouldn't expect it from Casey if I hadn't seen it a million times before.

Good on ya for winning your 6th for Ducati, Casey. But please don't ride like a starry-eyed 250 child on my boy's home turf again.

This is the most ridiculous, laughable post I’ve ever read for a very long time....ARE YOU FOR REAL???... “mylexicon”

It's funny, Casey was one of my favourite riders last season but this year i'm not bothered. I guess I like the underdog. It's been apparent for a while Stoner will be world champion this year. In my view it's not possible to say anything negative about Stoner (even though I don't like him any more) - he has been amazing this season and deserves a very long bandwagon!

Davies and West have both shown to be far better riders than their 250 careers suggested!

Why is it sad I said that?

I am a race fan, I watch Moto gp to see some good, close racing at the front...as does everyone else who watches it ( I would hope).

The race was strung out, and there was very little passing for position shown, the race was as boring as the Jerez race.

I don't think the race was boring. You could say anticlimax perhaps. Of course we all hoped for Stoner, Rossi,
<
, Hopkins, Hayden, Melandri, Edwards and Capirossi in an 8 man dice at the front, the hype was worthy of that, but it didn't happen...

im sure he does have some true fans somewhere, the fact is last season when stoner was not doing to well he picked up the name "crashy" it was also said that he didnt deserve a motogp ride because he was not good enough, funny thing is i cant remember a single stoner fan back then posting in his defense but now he is leading the championship he has "fans"coming out the woodwork so you see where the bandwagon jumper has come from most of the stoners fans on the forum are new members or ex hayden fans.

so if the shoe fits !

well he didnt get the name casey moaner by being the quietest bloke on the grid, sure he is fine when things are going his way or slower riders keep out of his way.
i also find it arrogant of him not to attend safety meetings when he is the one every one is looking too.

what ever turns you on.

who are you calling a pom ? this is the meaning of the phrase you love to use to insult us, "theory is that POM is a shortened acronym of Prisoner of His/Her Majesty (POHM) or Prisoner of Mother England (POME). As many of Australia's first settlers were convicts, so your the ...... pom.

this totally ruins the whole point of the forum. Instead of replying to comments about riders and race things it turns into a bitching thing between commenters which arent even related to the race or riders.
