I am sorry to have touched a nerve ROCKGOD01 . I gave my predictions based a lot on past years averages focused on Jerez for the time being. In which you can observe that Pedrosa has the best of them all (Average Position 1.67 and Points 21.67), but he still has a bit of lag over other riders, so I would not be surprised if he does not win. Then it is Lorenzo (Average Position 3 and Points 16), considering that he has just one sample (last year), it is not very precise, what helps him are FPs and Pole. Of course we have Rossi and the more occurrences for a clean deduction (Average Position 3.11 and Points 19.56), taking in consideration that on the points average he surpasses Lorenzo, and even though not on the position average, I think that 5/9 wins (MotoGP) speaks by itself, and of course I sheer for Rossi and definitely his numbers to back him up, straight out of motogp.com:

Now with Stoner (Average Position 7.33 and Points 8.67), numbers that are as reliable as Pedrosa's with three samples each (06, 07 and 08) and are very close to the last but not least. In addition to the four in mention, there is Dovisioso (Average Position 8 and Points 8), which as Lorenso's are not too reliable having just one sample, anyway, now he is in a Factory ride to be considered. So there you go, I did not think numbers needed this much explanation, but here are my predictions again:

1.- Rossi (9th / '09 Champion to be!)
2.- Lorenzo
3.- Dovisioso
4.- Pedrosa


I am trying not to be offensive as others, but this will be two more cents Jumkie, what do you think?

Looks like a Rossi/Stoner battle for last place on the podium.

As soon as someone has something to say about Rossi that you don't like all of a sudden I am full of ..... It amazes me. I am telling you what I among others saw in the motegi race. If rossi had a problem good for him that he got around it before Dani passed him for good. I just don't believe like he said about something was wrong with the bike in the middle of the race then it just got better. Ok maybe the bike got lighter, so fine ok then that make a difference. But it just looked like he wasn't going to fight Lorenzo as I believed he could. That is all. I don't say .... just to say it. If I thought anything different I would have said it. ROssi looked like he was happy with second place and that is what it seemed like to me and a few friends that watched it. Ok?

My original repeating insert was to make you see my point, I am sorry to have offended you, but you should have just say so. I tried to get you to see the other side of the coin and understand the logic, based on past averages, of my prediction. I guess you may have taken it too seriously when I did not consider Stoner in the first four. Based on statistics, I still don’t.

Don't you remember the 500cc? They were great, don't you think? The last beasts to prove the real men out there, I miss them. Not so many rules either, and of course... 'No so much traction control'... Sorry if Rossi says it, but I agree with that!
