TonUp Club Indy is hosting a Pre-GP party Saturday night right after the Mile, on
September 13.

Those of you who make the trip are invited to stop by, bench race, and check out
some bikes.

Entertainment will be provided by The Melismatics, a Mod band from Minneapolis,
MN, USA. Several Grand National Dirt Track machines will be on display, along with
various vintage and modern bikes. Some of these machines will be fresh off the
Mile.

The fun starts right after the Mile race and will continue till the wee hours of the night.

The party is at Local's Only Art & Music Pub, approximately two miles up the road from
the Mile. Address is 2449 East 56th Street, Indianapolis, IN. All makes, models, and
eras of bikes are welcome of course, an a limited amount of reserved motorcycle parking
will be provided (~30 bikes).

About me: I've been lurking for a few months, and this is my first post. I am first and
foremost a Nicky Hayden fan, but have a strong appreciation for the accomplishments of
The Doctor. My racing background is in motocross and dirt track, and I currently race
dirt track at the Pro-Am level and help prepare several Grand National Dirt Track machines.

I don't think I have much to say that hasn't been said over and over, but
I'll try.

I have mixed feelings about him moving over to Duc. Could improve his
situation and could relegate him to the bottom of the grid. I am inclined to
believe that the similar backgrounds of Stoner and Hayden, combined with
the obvious willingness of Hayden to put in whatever effort is necessary in
testing will bode well for the Corse effort. My prediction is that he'll contend
for wins and score podiums, but he will not be a serious championship
contender.

Also, thanks for the good words. Hope to see some of you at the party and
quite possibly at the GP events.

Yep that's pretty much what I meant -- Mods in the vein of Mods vs Rockers.

Hey...and welcome to the forum....keep an eye out for our resident forum reporter Jumkie, I think he is going to Indy and a party like this would be right up his alley if he's there.

Jumkie...from your Alaska post it appears you have another camera, so I know we can expect some good stories and photos from Indy right?
