Hi, new to this forum. Rossi fan so I'd be happy to see Marc not win. Never forgive him and the other spaniard for 2015.
That being said may the best man win. Pecco!
Your opinions are of course your own, but an opinion that the moon is made of green cheese doesn’t make it likely that the moon is made of green cheese.

I hesitate to ask since this ground has been gone over so much, but how can a rider have tanked a race he actually won, and when exactly did Valentino demonstrate he was other than the 4th fastest rider at Valencia 2015 ?, and if MM was faster than him at Sepang then Valentino was 4th fastest there as well, and gained 3 net points by running MM off the track.

I guess it was unforgivable for a Rossi fan that Jorge Lorenzo to be faster than Rossi in the end of season races.

Morning all,
I'm not here to troll, name call etc. I hate the polarisation it's unnecessary imo but seems to be the way now.
I'm an old man in my 60's who's been around bikes all my life and loves the racing. I can also recognise a true sportsman when I see one. I admire the skill to pick a bike up in a slide on your knee, but don't like to see someone deliberately disrupt someone elses race.
Because I'm an old cynic you will not change my mind so we will have to agree to differ.
As said new to this site but on first glance around the place looks ok.

How are you on calling a rider a cheat in front of the world press on the grounds that he tanked a race he actually won ?.

Not pointing this comment at anyone in particular but probably applicable to most here, including me.

Why do we keep debating something that happened something like 5 years ago? Hasn't all that can be said has been said so we are just regurgitating?

You can point the finger at me, I replied.

I replied though, very happy to let it go otherwise. I will never forgive what the Spaniards did in the 2015 season is hardly a non prejudicial/non-inflammatory introduction, particularly in regard to Jorge Lorenzo of whom I was a big fan. Was he supposed to concede the title because he was behind in the championship even though there were a number of races to go ?.

Let me actually welcome you before I reply. This is a great forum on you will find the debates can get real. With that said I don't see it as a positive that you are in your 60's therefore your mind cannot be changed. You are going to find a motogp forum a very tough place. If you want to throw shade at MM and JLo while also bringing up Rossi expect to get a lot of replies every time. You say you can recognize a true sportsman when you see one yet you don't like JLo and MM because of a narrative another rider chose to spin. Another rider who kicked someone while racing a bike. Thats not a true sportsman, in fact that is the total opposite. If you don't mind though this thread is about Marc and how he will do on the duc. If you don't have an opinion about that please kindly find another thread or start one about how much you don't like Spaniards because Rossi told you not too. Thanks again and welcome.

We won't agree to differ when you reject data and evidence (or lack thereof with regards to Rossi's accusations). We are not disagreeing, you are rejecting evidence. Those are not the same and if you communicate with me, I will not allow you to conflate the two. I don;t care if you are 16 or 60, an unwillingness to accept facts or open your mind because they do not fit your narrative is not healthy.

That said, Like Mdub said, this thread is about how Marc Marquez will do in 2024. If you wish to continue the Sepang 2015 discussion, you can do so here:

9 years ago! And, it's the dead zone between the final pre season test and round 1. It's all I ....... have!! Currently the voices in my head are the sound of MotoGP bikes.

ROLL ON 7TH MARCH!!

My 101% just went down to 69.
We prefer our dad bods, right?

Crikey! A bit to get through there.
Ok MM I believe MM and JL collaborated to disrupt VR 2015 season. World press bit I don't get, 30 odd people have voted on this thread in 5 months? And I don't understand the tanking bit either, sorry.
To the others, thanks for the welcome, had I realised how MM biased your are I may have lead slightly differently, maybe. Because I believe something and you don't doesn't make either of us right, or wrong. We beg to differ, look it up. Neither of us can prove that MM and JL did not collude, or did because we just weren't privy to everything going on. It is what it is. I looked at the other thread, 70 odd pages there, I'll leave that thanks. MB you are right.
So on that note lets get back to keeping this thread MM related. I really really hope that he doesn't knock anybody off being rash this year, I think he can be reckless. On the quiz bit at the start I opted for 'he may win some races'
In the interest of balance and just in case any hetrosexuals look at this thread accidently, here is a pic of MM girlfriend.

Its not that this site is MM biased and more so most of the members here see through the Rossi facade. You will find that people here will back up their opinion of '15 with facts not their feelings. It can be proved that JLo and MM did not conspire because of facts. Facts like the Philip Island race results. Facts like Rossi's kick. Facts like Rossi's witch hunt. If Marc himself was out to get Rossi thats his own fault for villainizing him. Be careful what you dish out if you can't handle the consequence.

Please stick around. Your opinion is valued here but expect some debate on the things related to Rossi. And maybe just maybe we can open your 60 year old eyes just a little bit.

"Jorge, do you think Marc helped you?" (In Phillip Island 2015)
"Yes, especially on the last lap"

Love it.

As Mdub said, we aren't MM biased, but we have no time for people who think Rossi is god either. He was a great champion, and brought exposure to the sport like no other. But that's it. Please stick around, we would love to read your contributions.
If you scroll back far enough, you will see I called for Marc to be banned after his Silverstone 2013 warm up crash....under yellows.

Pressers use to be so enjoyable. That line rings in my head whenever people talk about '15. Stoner, Rossi, JLo, Marc made the press conferences worth watching. I rarely watch the pre-race one anymore. Ever since Pecco and Jack attacked the media for a valid question I can't watch them. They are fake now.

My favourite is still the "I'll be arrested" between Simoncelli and Lorenzo. Not that exchange, but its context after Simoncelli's fatal crash. The media loved siding with Rossi and his minions like Simoncelli and they HATED having to admit it, but Jorge Lorenzo was right....
