Gran Premio Red Bull de España - Jerez 2022

Only 2 stroke I've ridden is my buddy's dirt bike. I can't imagine what the power band on a 500 feels like.

I can only describe the 250.
nothing. nothing. nothing.....aaaaand we need shoulder surgery

edit: still the best intro to any movie i ever saw

KTM starting to catch a bit of flak in the media
https://the-race.com/motogp/ktms-troughs-are-starting-to-look-like-its-2022-motogp-norm/

Bike does not turn tightly enough for small circuits, and it doesn't go well in warm weather? Oh man, that's good to hear with 4 months of summer racing ahead.

Let's hope for our styrian friends that a Canada GP doesn't fall in the 12 days of summer they have over there.
Funny, ditch the trellis , still can't turn and all hope you have is someone with a speech impediment from a place where the toilets flush the wrong way. Sounds familiar.

In the beginning, first time you try the 500 is like...faaak

I asked to ride a good friend’s Honda CR500 once.

It was like “faaak!” First gear was like a bomb going off. I never got it out of second gear except by short shifting into third. It was like what I imagine riding a bull at a rodeo would be like. I was not an experienced motocross rider obviously but he had a healthy respect for it. It was a mind blowing experience.

A 500 GP bike? Well, that would be something to try.

There are race schools that will let you borrow a suter mx500 if you really want to test your insurance/gangster.

Closest to that would be a modded 250. There are kits to convert your 250 suzuki/aprilia into a 300cc 80hp fire dragon. You'll remember all the romanian curses and vulgarity in no time when on pista. hehehe

I raced 250 superkarts for a while, single cylinder 250cc Honda. I got to try a division 1 car once. 250cc twin (GP) engine with nearly 100hp. Jesus ....... christ....

That yoghurt was a fugazi, fuhggeddaboutit.

I had a quick go in a superkart just once near Barcelona though that was "just" 50hp and a proper disc brake/diff...surreal.
karts are not supposed to steer and corner. and whats with this using the brake to actually decelerate instead of just throwing the back out? Black magic I tell ya, you will not catch me near one of those!
I think we gotta make a meetup for the karters happen. You ever go to euro tracks? I'm near Wackersdorf actually. Shoot your cuffs, I'll send for you. Get you straightened out. I'll shoot you a message on a secure line, can't have everyone listening in on us. Don't need that

Shifters have front brakes actually which makes them a lot more driveable.
