Well that was an eventual race. I'm waiting for more commentary on the A Marquez/Bagnaia accident. I'm still thinking of it as 'a racing incident'.

Great result for Acosta, but he was gifted the podium.

Nothing needs to be said about M Marquez.

Imagine the conspiracy theories that would be spreading if it was Martin who was having trouble with starts and ride height devices.

Feels good to see Marc on top again, hope it's a harbinger of things to come, purgatory has ended. A. Mar/Pecco incident is a racing incident imo, but I'm sure plenty of people outside this forum will rush to assign blame to one or other rider (already seeing some nasty stuff directed towards Alex from the usual suspects). This is going to put some serious pressure on Pecco, he's not stranger to pressure but I have a feeling Jorge is just gonna play the numbers game and keep collecting safe results unlike Fabio in 2022, supposing there aren't any weird MicheDud incidents. Pecco absolutely needs to win this championship or else it's gonna be a psychological blow for the next season.

Hearing the podium group talk about the Bagnaia/ A Marquez incident.

They seem to agree that Bagnaia had no view of Alex. Ie Alex should have taken a different line.

Either way like I said, dumb from both parties.

Thanks. No understand here. I struggle with 'Stryan. (Australian - English) ;)

I have to say I saw it coming.

Bagnaia had no need to pass him then and there, he was always going to get Alex eventually and had no chance of catching Martin. AM did make a riding error and perhaps forfeited the right to the corner.

The ridiculous thing is that Simon Crafar predicted errors like this happening; just one lap ago.

Can’t wait to see him head up the Stewards panel next year. He gets it. Unlike fast Freddie.

Jesus! I was out late and slept little and then woke early to watch the race and kept nodding off and then the crash. Woke me right the .... up. Man, that was upsetting. Made no secret of not liking Pecco, but I felt terrible seeing that. Whoever the director of photography is, should be fired for endlessly replaying that sickening event over and over again. Man was that in bad taste! What an ........

Glad to see Schmarkles take the top of the podium again. Pleased that Martin played it smart in both races. Good for Acosta - even if he was “gifted” the podium. I enjoyed his little scuffle with Martin; it was just good racing.

So relieved that Pecco wasn’t seriously injured.

Come the next race - will the ‘24 bikes be back on top and everything will be business as usual? I ‘spect so.

I literally cannot figure out how Viñales is the guy who dominates COTA and then ends up 50 secs behind the leader before retiring here.

I also can’t figure out how Bastianini rides a Moto3 bike during qualifying and then pilots the fcuking Starship Enterprise at warp speed during the race.

Herve, if you were looking for a quiet few years before retirement, boy do I have some bad news for you.

Having no view of a rider is what happens when you go around the outside of another rider. Thats always the case. He gave Alex nowhere to go. If you go around the outside of another rider without leaving room its destined for disaster. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. There was absolutely nothing Alex could do.

Generally yes, but in this case Alex already ...... up the corner and was slower than he should have been, facing away from the apex. Should have braked and sat up instead of continuing that silly line.

Not taking the blame away from Bagnaia who didn’t need to do what he did(Like I said, dumb from both parties who will get a talking to from Gigi), but he’s not the sole party to blame here.

Will most likely get deemed a racing incident by Freddie.

The "he" that couldn't see was Alex. He was on the inside looking right. What Pecco did had no chance of working. I understand why he didn't leave room because of the dirty track but that just makes the move more stupid. Pecco doesn't think and makes contact with other riders a lot. This was just another example of Pecco doing what Pecco does. This was a carbon copy of what Pecco did to Mavrick last year.

I have to ask, is this what Valentino is teaching Pecco?

Maybe he should be teaching him how to focus on the current season and when to overtake in situations like that. He could easily have waited till they hit the straight to get past. He could have avoided this one as easily as the Portimao crash earlier in the season.
