IMO, Alonso is the best and Ferrari are stupid if they get don't him (or Vettel) to substitute Mr. Potato.

Rumour in Italy said Vettel signed a 5y contract with Ferrari reccomended by MS himself while FA is negotiating with BMW to take Heidfeld's place (Nick's contract ends this year). Are Italian rumours trustworthy? ... we'll see

2. That makes two of us then

So if you agree that Kimi and Alonso would be the strongest driver line up possible, and you agree that Ferrari are a strong enough team to manage the situation properley why are you so positive that they shouldn't be interested in Fernando? I wonder......................................................

Kimi and Fernando are the best two drivers of the grid, so Ferrari would have the strongest driver's line up if Fernando would join them. I think Ferrari is a great team, and they would do a good job handling (or at least trying to handle) the situation, it's more Fernando who worries me to be honest. The past has shown us he can get the best result if his teammates are from a league below him, like most I guess, but not many start complaining, that's the difference. I don't think Ferrari needs to take that risk. Ferrari could be interested in Fernando, I never claimed otherwise, I just fail to see why they would need him. I think Fernando can actually make Renault a winning team again, I would love to see him do that, but if he wants to go to Ferrari, and Ferrari wants him, then that would be great too.

Maybe when he goes we will see that in fact Kimi Raikonnen is over rated

Yes, that could be.
Let's hope Fernando will go to Ferrari then

Kimi overrated? I beg to differ.

Kimi has proven how much of a good driver he is.

Yes i actually don't think he is over rated, i was just joking.

I thought you were serious to be honest, because you didn't put a smiley up there.

Actually I know many Kimi fans who make him sound better than he is. Raikkonen is a very talented driver, who is really fast (when necesarry), and he has proven us he can win races from the back, and that he can win when the odds were against him. I don't (and won't ever) consider him to be in MS' league though. Kimi has what it takes to be a champ, but overall he lacks a few things IMO, and the way some of his fans talk about him, like he's the best ever (lol) is ''overrated'' for sure.

anyway..Kimi all the way!!!

Sorry, i just figured you already know what i think of Kimi, my bad. I think there has always been a certain amount of hype surrounding Kimi because he was so fast, but not too many people were under the illusion he was a complete driver when he hadn't yet proved it so. Obviously now his methods are justified, and i wouldn't be surprised if it all pays off again.

I guess everyone has read the rumour about Mosley. I hadn't bothered to comment on it cause it look like complete bollocks. But no one has denied it yet and Bernie came out saying a lot of crap, which is a PR technique to draw the attention and cover up something else.

One way or the other, pretty sad F1 is on the news for the wrong reasons again.

It's pretty sad that so many people think this mans private life is their business.

I think we've nearly ticked all the boxes now. ... scandal, tick, spying scandal, tick, alcohol abuse, tick, sabotage, tick, sexism, tick, racism, tick, rodent-murder, tick... Not many left to go.

Anyway, first up: glad that F1 is returning to the BBC, no more ad-breaks or interruptions (and hopefully no more James Allen, they should get the bloke who does their radio commentary to voice). And The Chain, obviously, but it goes without saying.

Am indecisive on Ferraris and McLarens. Both have done well so far, but with a couple of mess-ups along the way it's hard to say who will come out on top. BMW are certainly in the running to get that elusive first victory. Heidfeld and Kubica are both quality drivers, so it's hard to say who will do it first, if they do.

I'm disappointed that Massa isn't off the mark yet. If he's to have a chance, he needs to start getting those high finishes now, but Raikkonen is already starting to pull away from him currently. He'll have a bit of a hill to climb before he's back in contention.

And finally: I lol'd at this week's news about Max Mosley and his "antics" to put it politely! On the other hand though, the papers (namely News of the World) shouldn't be invading people's privacy like this. They've been doing that a lot recently with other people as well (such as David Walliams) to no effect. People's fetishes are their own business, not the public's, to degrade them about this without their knowing is, frankly, childish.

BMW, Mercedes, Toyota and Honda have officially complained to the FIA about Mosley, suggesting he should quit.

We'll see what the rest of the teams say.

His position is untenable in that he is now a public figure of fun. Don't disagree with the comments about privacy; I suspect many news of the world journalists wouldn't withstand similar scrutiny well.

I'd imagine they're sniggering a lot if nothing else. Think it only leaves Ferrari and Renault as manufacturers to fail to complain as yet.

Hopefully it's Max's death knell.

Well I doubt Ferrari and Williams will complain, since they owe a lot to the current FIA regime and most likely neither will Toro Rosso and Force I since they are Ferrari's customers .Renault ... well they might do it, but come on Flav critizing other's sexual life? that would be soooo ironic! He probably owns the place!!!

Max is really taking the piss now :

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Given the history of BMW and Mercedes-Benz, particularly before and during the Second World War, I fully understand why they would wish to strongly distance themselves from what they rightly describe as the disgraceful content of these publications.
Unfortunately they did not contact me before putting out their statement to ask whether the content was in fact true.

Think the video confirmed that it happened, and as to the "disgraceful content of these publications", if Max had kept his .... in his pants there'd be nothing to publish.

God, this is sooo funny.

He has been screwing F1 for quite a few years.

Exactly, that's why it is so funny.

Plus his considered comments on Spanish racism, calling Jackie Stewart a "certified halfwit" etc. in the last 12 months. I said I was looking forward to Mosley trying to spin his way out of this and his attempt at spin is even funnier than I imagined!!
