To those who watch ITV coverage:

Did anybody else enjoy the JV interview when Louise Goodman asked what drivers particularly impressed him last year (obviouslsy fishing for Hamilton propaganda as usual) and he gave a mention to Massa, Alonso and Kimi. Not a word for Lewis, i thought it was hilarious and i'd love to have seen the look on Steve Ryders face.

Interesting race, BMW is becoming really strong. Hamilton .... I already hated him and today isn't going to change that ... what a moron!!

Congrats to Massa, I still think he is crap and not deserving the car he has.

He crashed into the Prince of Picks! That earned some respect from me, but for the most part, I am with you, there is something about him that just doesn't sound right.

BMW's will score at least 2 wins this year.

Great Job by BMW today leading the contructors, but obviously more so Ferrari in todays race. Although i don't think hes going to be a serious title contender, things immediately don't seem so bad when he wins like that. Things could get complicated at Mclaren now with both drivers tied on points, but Hamilton wont make mistakes and underperform at all the races so it probably wont last. The barcelona upgrades will be interesting, the profile of the season could easily change as various cars get better.

I still dont get why you ''hate'' Lewis.
I do think that Hamilton screwed up big time today. No points for the young Brit, and he only has himself to blame. Bad start, and what the hell was he thinking driving into FA?? Oh well, I don't mind too much, because as a Raikkonen fan, it's only good to see him not score points today.

Congrats to Massa!! He was ''the man'' all weekend, and he really needed this win desperately. So I'm really happy for him. Kimi couldn't be a threat to his teammate all weekend, so I guess 2nd place was the maximum. I'm happy to see Raikkonen leading the standings now. Also great for Ferrari that they took the 1-2!!!
<
FORZA FERRARI!!!!!!

Also great performances by Trulli, Webber and Giancarlo.

Can't wait for the next race!! 3 weeks away though

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (gui22a @ Apr 5 2008, 09:29 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>The main mistake Massa committed was to stay with Ferrari.

If the team had worked for him as they do with Haikkonen, including strategies, he could take the tittle as easy as Haikkonen can. But when in the world a man who get a salary 6 times lower than "the champion", could win a championship ?
<

For Haikkonen is easy don't commit mistakes when the WHOLE team is back to him. Massa mistakes aren't Massa mistakes, is Ferraris lack of attention to the best driver in the team.

If Ferrari wants Massa really getting the tittle, I don't have any doubt he can get it with ease. BTW, there is at least 10 drivers out there who can win the tittle if they really have total attention of a team and car like Ferrari.

It's clear, Felipe is the 2nd driver in Ferrari since himself have arrived, only shielding Schumacher and Haikkonen multi-million guys. It's a shame 'cause he is as great as Haikkonen, Alonso and Lewis and he can win a tittle too.

Last race was a joke, after the 1st pit Ferrari messed up with Massa's car enough to keep him in second and without offers any threat for Kimi. It was clear, Ferrari favored Kimi in the 1st pit. In that case Massa pushed really hard desperately to reach Haikkonen and this forced him to commit a mistake. Is it Massa's fault? Yeah it is but Ferrari provoked that. And it was propositional: favour the 1st million driver.

There is nothing special in Haikkonen and IMO Alonso and Massa are the best drivers out there, not by far, but a little bit than Haikkonen and Lewis. But since Alonso is not capable of winning this year, I will cheer hard for Lewis beating Haikkonen by far and .... up with Ferrari ....... plans in choosing a man to win a tittle.

I'm really impressed how easy is for Ferrari turns Massa into a poor driver, it's incredible. Last year they messed up hard with him.

I don't buy any more Fiat in my entire life

I don't think i've read so much nonsene in my time on Poweslide, complete utter garbage. I'm not even taking this post seriously as you keep calling Raikkonen "Haikkonen"

Educate yourself.

And Alonso is?

Wohoo, Kimi 3 point clear of Heidfeld and 5 clear of Hamilton.

May the gap continue to increase.

Certainly not, he deserves a car that can fight for the world title and everyone knows it.

1. I found it very funny to be honest. I wanted to reply, but Guilherme already knows my opinion on the issue, so I just left it like that.

Guilherme, I do have a question..if Ferrari wants Kimi to win at all cost, or want to favour Kimi, why did they ''allow'' Felipe to win?? I guess they dont want to be ''too obvious'' in their driver favouring..?? Obviously I'm talking crap now. Felipe won because he deserved to, and Raikkonen won last season because he deserved to. Simple as that. They dont favour Kimi over Massa, and quite frankly I dont understand why you think Felipe is better than Kimi, of course we all have our opinion, so I respect yours, but if you look at the past, from 2001, you can clearly see why Kimi is considered the best/or 2nd best f1 driver of nowadays grid.

2. Hell yeah, may the gap increase!!!
<

I'm really happy to see him leading the WDC. After the first GP I was really disappointed, but now, after 3 races things are looking better. Ferrari is strong, but so is McLaren, and I'm sure they will do better in Barcelona.

By the way, utter garbage probably is the smell of what leave your mouth in every morning.

After finally finishing a race Felipe Massa has sealed a new sponsorship deal

I was actually referring to Alonso wanting to drive for Ferrari and certainly doesn't deserve another chance at a big team. Rosberg and Vettel are much more deserving.

Ouch, what a comeback and it took that long to think of that.

Now go back to crying about how Raikkonen gets preferential treatment.

Because of their proven ability to win world titles with and develop a car, right

No because of their talent and have the potential to win world titles in the future.

You see they don't resort to crying, moaning, foul play and wanting god like treatment.

So does Alonso, except proven ability rather than potential. He had a bad year last year, but not everyone in F1 hates him because he didn't get on well with Mclaren, Kimi didn't get on particularly well either and Montoya even walked out mid season.

Don't believe the hype and Hate Alonso just because he is public enemy number 1 in our media. Believe it or not they don't have a fair and balanced agenda, you could hear their enthusiasm to condem him this afternoon when the "golden boy" ran into him.

I'm not denying Alonso is very talented, but I can't stand the guy and this was even before he moved to Mclaren. But then again I would like to Alonso and Raikkonen in equal cars and see how close they really are. I believe he and Raikkonen are the top 2 drivers and are very close.

As for Hamilton-Alonso incident, of course they would condem him, they'll suck Hamilton's .... to the ends of the earth.

I'm wondering how long the "golden boy" image will last. His and the media's best efforts can only last so long, because more and more often he comes accross as smug and fairly arrogant.

Because Alonso is a former WC, doesn't necessarily mean he ''deserves'' a Ferrari seat. I do think he deserves better than driving around 10th place or so. I think Renault will improve, maybe not this season, but I think they can next season. It will get better, and he will get better results.

Actually he didn't have a bad year at all. He didn't feel comfortable at mcLaren and he still managed to fight for the title till the very last race, that's not what I call a bad year. The relationship between him and McLaren was bad, true.

Kimi got on well with McLaren. They never had arguements, and they always believed Raikkonen could do it (win the title). In the end it's about equipment, and McLaren let him down numerous times when it comes to reliability. But Kimi and McLaren/Ron got on well. So I have no idea what you are referring to..??

Montoya..well that was a whole different story. Before he joined McLaren everyone expected this amazing battle between Raikkonen and Montoya (calling them the ''fire and ice combination''). It turned out to be a big disappointment. Juan Pablo needed time to adapt, and his famous ''tennis incident'' (
<
) didn't help either. I always liked Montoya, because he was a very passionate driver, also very fast, and just a great character for the sport. He made things interesting for sure. But he also made silly mistakes too often. McLaren didn't need that, and Montoya felt he didn't need them either, so they parted.

Rosberg and Vettel are deserving a place in Ferrari and Alonso not...
<
What were you talking about utter garbage?

Alonso is a driver wished in any team. He is still the best, he is the truly champion. Put Alonso in that Ferrari and he had win at least 2 rounds already.

I loved Montoya, he definitely was a character, speaks his mind and one of a few people who wouldn't back down against Schumacher.

Some funny Montoya moments:

If he was wished in any team, how come Renault were the only ones interested in him?

I've stated my reasons why so deal with it.

Haikkonen, sorry I mean Raikkonen no.1

Yes Alonso is the best. That's the best thing you've said all day
