He was very specific about honda and yamaha lol but I think it's just ezy using his common sense and knowing Rossi wont be on a ...... bike again.
Hey Talps, I don't have any issue with Rossi, and I would be really pleased to see him running at the front again. Rossi deserved a good kick in the nuts for the way he treated some people when he was the king, but he deserves great respect for the way he has handled the failure of the Ducati (as does Hayden). If Rossi changes teams, or sets up his own team on a Honda or Yamaha, I hope its successful. I've got the ..... with the corruption of the series, not an issue with Rossi.
My point is that I am not sure Rossi is still what he was 3 years ago. Combination age, motivation, death of Marco, and a lot of crashes (resulting in a fair bit of pain).
DORNA are too weak. Major teams pull the 'we want this or we will leave' threat, and DORNA has nowhere to go. They have now got to the point of completely capitulating to the powerful players (being Honda, Yamaha, and Rossi).
You're right though, clearly this has been going on for a long time. Maybe I wasn't as aware, or maybe it didn't matter as much, don't know. And yeah, maybe a little of it has to do with Stoner retiring, and knowing that JL wil probably win almost every race next year.
Yeah, well said "Nuts". Rumour has it that next year they're gonna get the riders to dress-up in little suits and sing a song each (boy-band style, of course) at the end of the race and whoever gets the loudest scream from the crowd, gets the trophy...

To start with, everyone doesnt love Rossi. Some of us see him for the manipulative .... he is. A very good rider who had very little competition back when the likes of you started all of this God crap. I guess not even God can ride a Ducati huh. Funny we never saw God do anything God like once Stoner and Lorenzo arrived on the scene.
That statement is more demeaning to Stoner and Lorenzo than to Rossi. Since they came to GP, he has won 2 championships. As Rossi is nothing special as a rider this implies they are pretty average. Your implicatrion, not mine. As a Lorenzo fan, I find this offensive, and as someone who maintains that Stoner is an incredible rider, I just think he comes over as a fanny, it is demeaning to Stoner's achievements too.
I never thought the boners would start putting their own man down to get at Rossi and I am defending him.

The fact is that since 2006 when Stoner and Pedrosa entered the MotoGP category later followed by Lorenzo in 2008 the championship tally looks like this:-
Rossi/Stoner - 2 each
Lorenzo - 1
Pedrosa - 0
To infer that Rossi of today is a lesser rider is to infer that even as a lesser rider he is/was the equal of those that today we say are/were his superior, to me seems somewhat contradictory.
For me (at least) there is no doubt that Rossi forced Stoner and Lorenzo to compete at a level probably higher than they had in the past, and yes they have beaten him but he has also beaten them. Simple opinion for me is that Rossi of today lacks nothing that Rossi of 2005 did not have and as such is and would be the equal of these guys, not necessarily better but the equal

No one ever said Lorenzo and Stoner were Gods, that was reserved for a certain cult. Yes he won races, and a couple of championships, but the walk on water miracles of riding from the back of the pack to win races were long gone once Stoner and Lorenzo arrived. He could not toy with them and had to race balls out. Its not a coincedence that his winning percentage was slashed by 50 %. If Rossi is a God, i guess that makes Stoner a Super Maximus Prime God, you know, since he has dominated the regular God.

Funny, i don't ever recall any Rossi fans claiming "Rossi is god". I do however recall the rossi haters trying to bait the rossi fans with such statements ! You really have lost your way pov. Hatred is a sickness of the mind.
I don't hate. Like Stoner, i say it as i see it ! Some so called fans here don't actually support any rider, they just support hatred of rossi and his fans. They will give shallow support to any rider at the time who beats him. Guess they will all be Lorenzo fans next season. I don't group you in as a hater, well maybe towards me but not any riders but you do tend to believe your assumptions are fact. That's your down fall.
