I can safely say that John Hopkins has given GB it's first unofficial podium in 6 years! (Jezza being the last at a rainy Donny in 00/01).

I know he's got a an American accent and passport, but he's genetically a Brit, and he got the fat monkey off his back.

Hopefully the first of more, and better!

There was an argument somewhere back there about Hopkins nationality, don’t really know. But on the same bases as I published a great photo about Elias with his elbow almost touching the ground and needing ‘elbow pads’…

So here it is for Hopkins at Shanghai…

They will call him Anglo American but he is American as apple pie and yes he does fly the Stars an Stripes.Plus he learned to ride in the States.

Poor Britain

They just don't get respect like they used to. About 100 years ago the sun never set on the British empire, and now they have to call Hopper a Brit to get a podium stat.
