Hopper leads day 2

You guys are a bit hard on Lorenzo.

The guy is fast and he will show his worth. Right now he is on an underpowered machine and Dovi is on a bike that blasted past the Ducati on the straight at the last race of the season. (turn about)

Let the man get his front end sorted out and a bit more power under him.
He will be fast enough.

Remember his Yamaha hasn't set the top of the speed traps at all and Sepang has two very long straights back to back. If his bike is down on acceleration and top end all Yamahas will be down a few tenths..

Throw in a not sorted front end (good for at least .5 secs ) and he is exactly where he should be.

I saw a factory Honda ridden by Asimo pass the Ducati but i didnt see a sattelite Honda blast by a Ducati. Not saying it didnt happen somewhere back in the field but i assume you are talking about Asimo passing Stoner for the lead.

http://www.motogp.com/en/motogp/motogp_res...tm?menu=results

These are the fastest top speeds from the last race. The bike Lorenzo is on was not, by any means one of the slowest.Plus Edwards is considerably faster on a Yamaha Satellite bike and most people on this site dont think he can ride at all. There is 2 satellite teams in the top ten in this weekends test. One is a Yamaha in second place and Dovi on the Honda. That link didnt work out, click race and scrool to category results and hit event top speed.

Asimo was not included in this test because either a) His developmental skills are TOTAL CRAP, or
<
it is easier to simply re-program HIM than it is to sort the bike to his liking, lol!!

Now, what was that about Dovi riding a bike that was passing Ducs on the main straight at Valencia?? Do no forget that he is riding the piece of crap that '07 bike that was handed down from JiR/Nakano, not the FACTORY WORKS ride that Dani/Nicky were riding. We all know that all Hondas/RCVs are not built identical. This leads me to beleive that Dovi is riding the BALLS off that thing, he is definitely used to over-riding an under-achieving Honda
<
This Dovi Guy will do just fine, methinks
<
He gets my vote/forecast/prediction for rookie o' the year.

HorHay is overrated. JT will be a better rider.

The bike Dovi is riding was the 3rd slowest at Valencia. The bike Lorenzo is riding was 6th fastest.

Interesting.

BTW, do you know what bike Lorenzo is riding. With Rossi away and new bikes and new tires comming soon it wouldn't surprice me if they shifted around with the bikes. If Lorenzo was riding Rossis valencia bike it sure wasn't fast. He had more than a little strugle to pass the satelite bikes.

Anyway, the comparison just make Dovi's riding even the more impressive.
I'm sure Lorenzo will get faster, the question is will Dovi, and if so, can he even be a regular podium contender?

Do i know 100%,of course not,but with Yamaha being a split camp, i can reasonablly say that it would be a good guess that Lorenzo is not developing Rossi's bike that will run on different tires next year.Plus Rossi's bike was plenty fast,Rossi wasnt for obvious reasons.Bottom line is,Dovi is putting up much better times on one of the worst bikes on the grid compared to a full factory Yamaha.Im sure there is more than a few scratching their heads over that one.

Nothing new,Nicky is the red headed step child that does the majority of grunt work.

Haha

Great one mate. JT will beat Lorenzo in races and maybe a few more. He has improved a lot in testing JT has I think. Even the team are happy with him. JT to beat Lorenzo.

Jorge barely improved, JT did by 1.5s!!!
<

I agree there that JT improve more than Lorenzo and Lorenzo is on a factory bike. Now that is saying something there. Come on James.
