<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (is200 @ Sep 10 2009, 01:57 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Its amusing how opinionated many are here. As to this should be disclosed and that should be disclosed. I think its quiet apparent from Caseys interviews over the past few months that he is suffering from severe fatigue. Now that may be caused by an illness, diet issues, mental stress or whatever.

He said in an interveiw from Leguna i think that he is fine in his daily activities but when his heart rate increases he falls off the other side of the cliff really fast. This was one of the reasons why it was so hard to diagnose and get on top of. This is also why he will have some doubts until he gets a race under his belt.

But i caught up with some of his family when he had only been gone for a few days, but had been home for about a week or so, and Adrianna said he had already had a massive improvment after just a week away from it all.
O well thank god, you caught up with family.(cough, cough ........ cough) Even if true, you dont think they would just say that. Were they going to tell you he still feel sleepy? Of course not.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (is200 @ Sep 10 2009, 01:57 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Case just needed a break, none of us have no idea how intense the MotoGP circuit is and each person handles it differently. For whatever reason Casey needed a break from it all and thats what he did. The decision was made for the long term. Many are saying if he kept riding he would be in 2nd, well who knows, he could have just deteriorated even more and written off next year as well.

His level of fitness is top notch, he trains like a machaine so that was never the issue. There was a physilogical problem that was compramising his preperation and fitness. They tried to address that problem in order to allow him to perform at his optimum. Im confident that when he gets back on the bike he will be back right at teh front.

Not thats as much ........ as You and tea time with his family. He is not at a high level of fitness. Not unless fishing and video games are somehow getting him into shape. Even if he was in shape he won't be when he comes back. Two weeks without exercise and you will have already lost a lot of the work that has been done. Boner fans its okay you can admit you are scared that he will never be the same. Or at least until his work ethic changes. If when his heart rate goes up and he can't handle it, thats a clear indication he is out of shape. And a good reason why they can't find anything wrong with him.

OK, I admit I am scared that he will never be the same.

However I would be interested in your expert opinion as to why his obvious lifelong lack of fitness did not affect him in 2007; I agree the reports/rumours about his diet are a concern though.

I don't think he has always had a lack of fitness. If I had to guess when it started, it would be after his championship year. Maybe he felt his training finally paid of and started focusing on other things like his wifey, and obligations to Ducati. Which I am sure increased after he won. (strictly speculation I know)
I am in the best shape of my life, I workout 6 days a week and push bike 3 times a week. I used to have problems with stress, and notice them dramatically reduced as I got into better shape. We have all seen the frustration cs has been enduring all season. And we watched him spiral downward further and further. No matter how fit he is it appears to me he is not fit enough to deal with the stress of motogp. Everything about him screams " LAZY" and "FRUSTRATED" from all of this to his put a fast lap down and wait for someone to beat it strategy. CS fans have to see benefit in running long periods in practices and quaily over his "put it down and sit down style." Hopefully a switch will go off in his head eventually and he will put some work ethic in. If he does he will win more world championships otherwise, stick a fork in him.

Are the 'boppers going to admit that they're scared that he will return to classic Stoner form?

with the engine rule kicking in and more riders spending more time in the garage, surely the "running long periods in practices and quaily <sic>" strategy will be one that the other riders wish they could master? no point in wearing out your engine just so you can go round and round the circuit is there? if you can get the bike on the front of the grid with only 10 laps of practice/quali then that would give you much more engine later in the season.

That's the closest thing to a "Smile" i've seen on Puig's face!!

I'm a fan of Rossi, he is a true legend, and has consistently stepped up to every challenge placed in his path during his long career.

But I will love it if Stoner comes back and starts winning races
