If Toprak doesn't do the leap to MotoGP he will wonder for the resto of his life as to what he would of done in MotoGP

I think Toprak being the absolute monster on the brakes that he is, I could see him making up for his stature with some creative riding. Certainly more than Scott Redding could ever have.

I don't really see the downside in him going to GP even if it's for what passes as HRC these days. He'll just bring more eyeballs to the sport, though at the expense of WSBK. Could make for a nice side story in 2025 when the fireworks start going off between Marc and Pecco.
BMW seem to think Toprak is not going anywhere.

EXCLUSIVE: BMW make it clear “we have an existing contract for 2025” with Toprak

Morbidelli won;t go back to Yamaha. He's almost certain to replace Bezz at VR46. The question is where does Digi go if Aldeguer replaces him?

KTM continues its stiff competition with Ducati on who can manage their riders the worst.

A few months ago, they gave him his Moto3 bike and told them they want to keep him in the family for a long time, then give him a few hours notice before kicking him out:

If Toprak is in contention for a Ducati seat (at the expense of Franky or Diggia?) than we're talking a whole different game. If he goes there he's an immediate contender.
It's not like I don't want to see him in MotoGP, if Toprak never races in MotoGP fans will forever be asking themselves what could have been. If he's indeed going to Honda (I thought they confirmed Mir already) or Pramac Yamaha he'll be spending two years getting used to a type of bike every other top rider already knows and one that's lacking performance.
In 2027 it's gonna be a level playing field. The absence of devices in the new rules should suit him better than the current generation of bikes.
Also, if Toprak made the switch earlier it would severely decrease the likelihood of BMW joining MotoGP in 2027.

Simon really dislikes KTM. One of the main reasons for me not listening to their podcasts is that they always find a way to have a negative KTM storyline.

Who would prefer Miller over Viñales or Bastianini for 2025?

I feel for Miller, I do. KTM though is in the business of winning. If the opportunity to sign said riders came up after they talked to Jack, would they have first had to clear the new business plan with Miller?

I would prefer Miller over Vinales actually.

Not seeing how the KTM is going to benefit Mav in any real way since it doesn't matchup with his riding style.

I predict by 2025 summer break, if not sooner, he's going to wish he stayed at Aprilia.

I don’t question the decision, just the way it was communicated. Not the first time KTM has done this.

They basically announced on air, during a race weekend that Petrucci and Lecuona were out of a job. Just shameful.

Jack Miller only found out 3 hours before they made their announcements he was out of a job.

Still maintain Lecuona got shafted.

A possible move to MotoGP would carry no consequences for Toprak even if he fails, after two years he'll be offered the hottest seat in WSBK again, and he'll be a lot richer by then. The only ones who have to lose if Toprak fails in MGP are future WSBK riders who would like to move up to MotoGP

Assuming he doesn't sustain a career-ender at HRC. If you ask Ben Spies, the assumption is a bit dubious. Electronics are more stable than they were when Ben's career ended, but Ben was like Toprak in that he was not known for crashing. If Toprak wants to ride an RC, he should be 100% sure he bounces well.

If money is the central issue in Toprak's supposed desire to step-up, it seems like Kenan didn't do a great job with the contract. BMW should be paying him so much for winning these races that they almost want him to leave. Maybe they negotiated for guarantee and championship, rather than proving the bike could win races and front-run?
